Ugh!!! Clothes...

Hey girls!  Hope everyone had a good day today :)

So... this morning when I got up, I headed to my pile of "skirts that fit".  (I teach in an un-airconditioned building, so pants aren't an option right now)... and.. ALMOST NONE FIT!!!  The ones that would fit, I totally looked SO pregnant.  Ugh!  I felt like a huge cow.

I slapped on the dress I wore at Orientation in early August, and felt bad about re-wearing something already, and frustrated because I have lots of beautiful clothes that won't fit!

This awkward belly is really getting to me and making me emotional/upset.  I haven't even gained any weight; I'm still down 3 lbs.  It's so frustrating!!!!!!!!

In any case, sorry to all :)  I just needed to vent a little to some people that would (hopefully!) understand where I'm coming from.  I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day.  My mom is taking me shopping after work for some more comfortable clothes :)

  • I can totally relate. I got outted by a dress I wore on Monday to work. I'm definitely hitting the Labor Day sales this weekend.

  • My bedroom is a diaster because each morning I try on clothes and nothing fits. My shirts are all in my arm pits or are pulling because my boobs are bigger and I have this bloat that will not go away. I can relate!

  • It takes me about 10 mins to get dressed in the morning becuase nothing fits!  And it's daily that something else doesn't fit.  Stupid bloat!
  • The bloat is outrageous.  I saw my shadow on our wall today and I almost cried. It's not a baby bump, I feel like a 50 yr old trucker with a beer belly.  DH thinks it's "cute" and continues to say "All aboard the bloat boat, toot toot."  I could kill him.

  • Clothes are majorly frustrating for me as well right now. I saved all of my maternity clothes from DS, but I borrowed most of my summer stuff which I have since returned. I can only manage to be comfortable in regular jeans for a few hours at most these days. Then I have to break out the sweat pants. I'm majorly worried about an all-day work conference I have to go to next week (I normally work from home) since I haven't told them I'm pregnant yet.

  • I am going shopping this weekend. I need some pants that I can wear comfortably. I am miserable now. Even in the morning, I am chubby to begin with and my belly has already rounded out to the point where my belly band is just not cutting it.  The jeans/pants cut into my gut just the wrong way and it sucks.

I want to start wearing dresses but I NEVER wear dresses (except for REALLY important meetings) when I am at work and I feel like the entire facility will know that "that girl in HR" must be pregnant if I start wearing them often.

Can't wait to let the baby out of the belly and start wearing dresses and not caring who sees my bump (bloat or not).

  • Doesn't it seem so unfair that such a tiny person could cause so much bloat? Causing trouble already, and no bigger than a pea! Yeah, stretchy pants and skirts are all I can fit in right now. I'm hoping I'll carry high and interior like the last one, but the way my pants are fitting, it doesn't seem likely. Sad

  • I am down to 3 paris of pants that I can fit in comfortably.  I asked my husband last night if he thought people at work would notice if I wore the same pair of pants that I wore eariler in the week. (I am mainly worried because the pair I was going to rewear was a pair of white capris so I figued it might be obvious.) My husband said that he wouldn't worry if they noticed it was the same pair of pants because I wasn't going to be able to hide it much longer anyway with the way my boobs are growing and my hips are spreading.  Seriously, doesn't he know it's dangerous to tell a pregnant woman that her hips are spreading?  (Even though they definitely are!)

  • I'm a teacher too, and I have to rewear my 5 pairs of pants/capris that fit every week. I try to change out different tops so it's not too noticeable!
