Early Teething

My 3 month old daughter constantly drools more than she has been and keeps her hands in her mouth. If we take them out she crys. She doesn't want her pacifer and fusses alot more than usual. I rubbed the inside of her mouth on her gums and I can feel her teeth pushing on her gums. Is it normal this early? Or is she teething extremely early? What can I do to help the pain??

Re: Early Teething

  • It is possible to be starting the process this early for sure. If you can feel the hard ridges of teeth beneath the gumline and it's swollen, then she's teething. Congratulations! For the pain: old school solution - rub Kahlua on her gums. New school solution - whole refrigerated pickles that she can gnaw on. It's big enough not to choke on and the cold of the pickle will help with the pain. They also sell some stuff for teething that you can rub on the gums or you can probably give some baby acetaminophen but make sure to check with your pedi.
