What do you drive?

We have an Elantra and after this trip, it is obvious we need something bigger.  Suggestions?  Why do you like it?

  • I have a Volvo XC90 (it's their SUV).  It's a great car and has an optional 3rd row if you want to use it.

  • I currently have a Subaru Forester and I love it! It runs great and is very comfy! There is plenty of room in the back for a booster seat and car seat (step DD is very tiny and is still in a 5 point) and lots of room in the trunk for hauling stuff around. All Subaru's have all wheel drive so it handles well in all weather dry/wet/snow. I know they just did a redesign for the 2009 model and I want that but it won't fit everyone when the twins get here Sad so we will be trading my mom her van for DH's car.

  • I drive a minivan - with 3 kids, and lots of gear on weekend getaways, it was our only option!
  • I have a Honda CRV and it is not cutting it right now.  With the two carseats (infant seats), there is only a tiny bit of room left between them... and the DSNG stroller takes up most of the back.  We have yet to go far, but we are taking a trip at Thanksgiving and we are renting a mini van; it's the only way to get the kids and both of us there with all our gear... and the third row is a must because we're bringing the dog.
  • I also had a Hyundai Elantra and traded it in for a Hyundai Entourage minivan. I really love it! Lots of space, fits everyone very well, and it drives smoothly!
  • 2003 Forester.  Getting ready to get an old 1999 model to replace my husband's 1995 piece-o-crap.

  • I have a Toyota Camry. I used to drive a Jeep Compass and it was waaaaaaay to small. The Camry has so much more space in the back, in the trunk.. it's great.

  • We just bought a Kia Sedona and I LOVE it!!  We drove from ME to FL and had plenty of room.  It drives really smooth, has the stow and go seats, seats 7 and has a great warrenty!!  Oh and when we drove to FL my mom was also with us!!  Lots of room for all the gear we need with twins:)
  • We recently purchased a Honda Odyssey minivan and looovvvvve it. ?It's awesome - power sliding doors are the best thing ever invented in a car.
  • I drive a PT Cruiser, which I really reccomend. It gets good gas milage, plus its really spacious. The doors open wide enough to put the car seats in and out very easily (DH has a Taurus and has to twist them to get them out/in) Plus the trunk area is large enough to fit my Snugride and other stuff!

  • we have a ford expedition and F-150 (with a cover over the bed of the truck)...I LOVE it...I am just not a mini van person..My DH wanted the Honda Odyssey..

  • Dodge Durango.  It is amazing.  There is seating for 7 (we actually can fit 5 adults and 2 babies and a double stroller in it!).  We got it used off of autotrader, paid a great price for it, and it is big enough to last us through as many babies as we can have-we are hoping to be a family of 6 one day:).

  • Honda Odyssey minivan here.  I love it!  The power sliding doors and rear door are heaven.  Plenty of room for extra people and all our gear, and it's nice and low so I don't have to lift the babies high to get them in the car (I'm only 4'11").  Also we got the Touring edition so the pedals adjust to my short legs and I don't have to sit so close to the steering wheel!
