I said chocolate, but they really like other flavors more. I love to bake and decorate cakes, so we've had it a lot. DS2 loves strawberry cake and DS1 asked for Key Lime cake for his birthday tomorrow
So, looks like you're going to have to go with marble.
No kidding! Everytime I look, the poll results are 50/50.
I decided to make it two layers. Bottom will be chocolate and top will be yellow. Its going to be huge too because I don't feel like splitting the baked cakes in half!
For the kids birthday cakes, I usually order half choc and half vanilla cake. However, for DD's last birthday they effed up and only did vanilla. It wasn't what I asked for.
My boys like vanilla and DD likes chocolate, that's my SS answer
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/9/11 - 34:24 - 1st race evah!
Kelly Monaghan's 5K - 5/15/11 - 3rd Place in AG
Walk the Talk 5K - 5/18/11 - 31:12 PR
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/14/12 - 1st race of the year, 32:45
Re: Boring poll about your kids and cake (but answer anyway!)
But there NEEDS to be a SS. My kids like both!
And to give you a straightforward answer, Ethan said yellow, Bella said chocolate, and Maile said birfday cake.
They all agree, though--chocolate icing!
I am making a cake for Max's birthday party tomorrow and I have the ingredients for a choclate cake or a yellow cake.
And no choclate icing. I was going to decorate it to look like a big swimming pool since we're having a pool party.
I said yellow, but that said - they don't really like cake. They're weird.
And DS definitely doesn't like frosting - of any kind.
I have one of each, actually. J is all vanilla and B is all about chocolate.
So I voted for vanilla because J will refuse chocolate but B will eat vanilla happily.
Recently there have people that have served a chocolate cake for the birthday kid with some vanilla cupcakes on the side.
Me with my littlest.

Which kid?
DD perfers vanilla.
DS1 perfers chocolate.
DS2 will eat either.
