I noticed in one your previous responses that you mentioned your twins are still in a crib. How do you do it? Do they try to climb out?
I know it is way out there for us still, but I am planning to keep the twins in their cribs for as long as possible as 1) we just don't have to space to put 2 toddler beds in their room and would have to do bunkbeds which scare me, 2) transitioing DS#1 to a toddler bed was awful and I can't imagine going through that again with two of them, and 3) unfortunately this lovely housing market out here in AZ has us trapped in our 3 bdrm house for a while longer than we originally anticipated so moving to a bigger house is not an option.
Just curious, thanks!
Re: ***Hey Goldie***
the twins COULD climb out if they really tried but so far they haven't... Grayson looks like he might try soon and if he does- i'll be getting crib tents- b/c i want them in their cribs until they are much closer to 3yo.
My older son transitioned out to a toddler bed when he was about 2mo shy of 3yo... so he totally understood everything and he did great.
We use Angelcare montiors- which helped a LOT to the toddler bed transition b/c we'd know if he got out of the bed and was walking around- and he KNEW the alarm would go off- so he never got out of bed - he'd call for us if he needed something. It was awesome. We hope the twins will be similar
Toddler beds are just as big as cribs- so space shouldn't be an issue. It's twin beds that are bigger.... we'll do bunk beds eventually- but waiting until they are about 4-5yo at least for bunks.
