  • We had the same problem, but got customized labels from https://www.inchbug.com/ and they work great.

  • Our DC has a label maker they marked all the bottle parts with.  They have held up to hand and dishwasher with some minor fading-it's been 3 mo.

  • We use Mabel's Labels (well we used to for bottles, now we use them on everything!). I recommend any of the adhesive labels, I think there are a few companies around.

  • I got dishwasher safe labels (and iron on labels for her clothes) from a seller on etsy. If you search daycare labels there are a ton of sellers. I think I got 120 labels for $20 or so.

Then I write the date/and "use first" "use last" etc on the ring of the bottle with dry erase marker and put the cap over it so it doesn't smear.

Worth the money!  We have had ours for over a year and they look brand new!

  • We use the Date Labels from Olivers Labels. https://www.oliverslabels.com/products/product.aspx?ProductID=12

love them. We've also used the shoe labels, and they are awesome too!

We use these too. I got mini ones for the bottle caps & DD's paci's (on the paci's I cut the labels down so its just her first name). I got the regular size ones for the bottles. Its cute because they match. Been using them for 6 months now and none have fallen off.

  • Wow, after reading all this, i think I need to get a label maker.

I use masking tape and write on them each morning with permanent marker.  This will save me so much time!!!

  • So far I've just been writing on masking tape daily, at the suggestion of DC. I'm tired of it though, so I ordered orbit labels yesterday.

  • thanks everyone!  i really appreciate the advice :)
  • I use Avery return address labels... just pre-print 6 labels for each day (one for each bottle). One sheet of 80 labels gives me 2.5 weeks of daycare

For those using the permanent labels - how do you manage for more than one kid? I'm reluctant to put permanent labels on DS's bottles when we will hopefully have another kid... or are the inchbug ones removable?

They don't fall off easily after being washed or anything, but if you needed to remove it you definitely could. Might need a little goo gone, but I know they would come off.

You can also put the next child's label on top of the first child's label.  I had planned to do that with our second, but I never ordered any more permament labels.

We have the Inch Bug labels for both girls since they are basically like the rubbery bracelets.  Some of our Inch Bug labels have gone from bottles to sippy cups to bracelets.
