I pin a ton of recipes, but when I finally get around to making a dish, if I can't find any reviews of it or comments from someone who has tried it (in their blog or if it came from a site like tasty kitchen), I probably won't roll the dice and actually make it. I think most recipes get pinned before someone has actually prepared the dish--they just think it looks good or sounds yummy.
On another note, it is my goal to make something new from my recipe board once a week.
Re: My take on Pinterest recipes
Can you comment on your own pins? (I've never tried)
If so, that might be an easy way to say, "Hey, tried this, loved it!" or "Ew, never again!"
"I stammered, unable to form a coherent thought because I have a vagina."

Oh wait, you're supposed to actually try to make those super yummy looking recipes that catch my interest by their delicious looking picture?
Hmm...I should try that soon.
That is a good idea. I have labeled a couple of mine "tried and true."
DC--what are some of your favorites? I'm sure the majority are great, but I think some come from random blogs and may not live up to their Pinterest hype. I just hate to waste my time with an "eh" recipe.
This.
If it sounds good to me, I'll make it, regardless of reviews anyway.

I think I will do this! I haven't tried any yet, still trying to get through the late-summer recipes I've torn out of magazines and have in my queue to make (I just like typing queue).
although, I usually blog about something I love...but my blog isn't connected w/ pinterest or fb.
