16 week update *appt update blog admins*

Well, I had my 16 week appt. today.  Got to do a colposcopy due to abnormal pap from my first appt.  Dr. said everything looked ok, nothing needed addressed before LO gets here. There is a small area that he said "might" need looked at later but nothing serious. 

I got to schedule my u/s for 9-27!!  YAY!!!

I also got info on some prenatal workout classes YAY.

I was also talked to about genetic testing and signed off to bypass all  testing.  If there is something very major, my dr. feels it'll be noticed at the u/s so I made the executive decision to skip them (FH couldn't go because of work).

Now if I can find a way to pass the time until Sept. 27..haha. Pinterest here I come. 

ETA: I did hear the receptionist scheduling my u/s and she mentioned I am "behind" on my fundal height.  The nurse was already gone and I'm not exactly sure what that means. Should I be worried?

If it was something bad the doctor would have said something. The height of your uterus might be behind alittle. I will update your u/s. Is that your anatomy scan?

I had an unscheduled us at 5w3d due to not being able to find the hb with the in office doppler and since I'd had the m/c in October she (nurse) wanted to ease my mind and according to those measurements I was 6 days "behind", too, but the u/s tech told me not to worry, that baby would catch up as the pregnancy progressed.

I am going to sound totally baby naive here, but I don't know the difference between an anatomy scan and an u/s.  The reason I declined all testing was because the dr. told me we'll see everything we need to see at the u/s at my next appointment and that the blood tests weren't conclusive anyway (and one of them was $700+ and NOT covered by insurance) so I am guessing that it will be the ding dong daddy u/s...lol.

At my first appointment the nurse told me, barring any complications, that the one at my 20 wk appt. would be the only one I'd have.  However, ten minutes later I was having one to make sure all systems were go in there.  :O)

Busy in a good way, now I just need to stay occupied till the 27th!!  We are getting married on the 14th (just doing the JOP thing) and having our family over on the 16th, but that's still 2 weeks away, so only 1/2 the time is covered...hahaha.
