For those of you who have accomplished this....tell me how you did it! Diet, cardio, both??
DS is 15 months and mine is STILL pretty bad. I never had this before getting pregnant. And please don't tell me you run several miles a day or I will die
Sorry. I ran. That finally got the last of it. I was very fit before DD which helped tremendously to get back in shape. I was having a hard time getting rid of the last of the fat. I caved and ran--I used to HATE running, but I've learned to tolerate it, lol. Running, eating 5-6 small meals a day, eating healthy w/ a little cheating here and there.
Honestly I don't run that much, that far or fast! I do 10 min miles which by running standards are slowass. Instead of running, you could do interval training. Walk fast for 3 min, then run as fast as you can for 30 seconds. Do at least 8 intervals and you'll feel it and see results. I do this when I run on the treadmill. Example: I run at around 5.2 on the treadmill and run at 7.0 for 30 seconds. Do this for 24 min.
My trainer probably made the best case for why it took me so long to lose my pp belly which was that my stomach is the very last place I lose weight. I have narrow hips, smaller arms, skinny legs etc. so I had to lean up all of that, even though it was not all that big to begin with, to start really getting my flat stomach back. (sorry or the run on sentence)
So basically it just took a lot of consistent cardio and eating right and time. Totally worth it though I am so happy to be rid of the flab.
My fat stores are in my thighs. Lovely. Even when I was working out 6 days a week, I still had a small amount of cellulite above my knees. Kills me!! That is the last place I loose weight, so I generally see a difference first in my stomach and other areas. I say I work out, but I'm also shoving Del Taco in my face! That's why I run, really. I'm too lazy to eat right all the time, lol.

LOL, veloelle. Running...I knew it...ugh
Thanks, graceandtho! Your body sounds exactly like mine. I have a feeling I'm going to have to slim down all over before this will come off.
