hey! Just wondering if anyone else never had any morning sickness in their 1st trimester...I'm 11.5 weeks now & feel crazy for feeling wrong! Like I want the reassurance like so many others who feel sick during these first months...ive even gone as far as taking a couple tests again to see I'm really prego! I had an us last week & baby is right on track
my Ob said its rare to lack symptoms so I should feel lucky. Its just thats this is my 1st pregnancy & I have so many questions. *sigh* end rant! :-)
Re: never had morning sickness?
Exactly! Just thank your lucky stars!!
only after reading about it after I found out I was pregnant at 9 weeks...never had a clue it was so common...believe me i have a lot of questions right now & I cant relate to books I read about all thats going on with my body during this time
I had no m/s with my first two but have felt sick on and off with this one. I understand how you feel -- a lot of comments are made about how m/s is a sign of a healthy pg so those of us who don't have it (especially first time moms) feel very worried, like something is wrong. It was frustrating during my first pg hearing I should just be lucky when for someone who didn't have m/s, it was hard hearing statements that it meant a healthy pg but you didn't have it so it was very unsettling. But rest assured, it doesn't have anything to do with the health of your pg. I have two very healthy little girls and had no symptoms during the first tri (other than moodiness and implantation spotting). M/s is just a reaction of each persons body to the different levels of hormones and every pg will be different.
H&H 9 mo.
I felt amazing for 9 months my last pregnancy. I didn't get nauseous at all the entire time. No headaches despite having them all the time before PG. Really, I just peed a lot, was really thirsty, & my deodorant stopped working. Sore boobs for a little while too. I had a healthy little man
I wasted a lot of time worrying about my lack of symptoms until I realized there was nothing I could do about whatever could be wrong anyway. My Dr reassured me every visit & I had u/s to prove to myself that a baby was there. When he got bigger, I had the reassurance of kicks, rolls, hiccups, etc. Just consider yourself very lucky to sail through pregnancy!
I had heard that many woman get away without any m/s symptoms, it just depends on how the body handles the HCG hormone. Some women are able to handle it, which is good.
Be blessed, because I finally had to get Zolfran to function from the m/s.
No m/s here either! I completely understand why you might be worried, because I feel the same. It is easy for someone with classic symptoms to say, "don't worry" because they have a constant (if unpleasant) reminder of their pregnancies. If I didn't miss my period (which was always on time) that caused me to take a pregnancy test, I never would have known I was pregnant. I've only experienced some cramping, exhaustion, and an occasional stuffy nose. I logically know it is OK to not have m/s, but my irrational side worries. I'm a FTM too, so I'm sure that isn't helping!!
Hopefully I'll deliver a healthy baby to hold in my arms.....and then I'll be thanking my lucky stars for no m/s!!!
I can say that i am 4 months, and not once did I get m/s. I feel very fotunate since a few other girls I know are pregnant too, and were just miserable! Some of us are just lucky I guess!! Dont feel bad, feel greatful!!!!
This is my 3rd baby and i haven't had morning sickness for all 3 of them. I consider myself lucky. I even sometimes forget that I am pregnant. I did get a little nauseous a few times but just ate soda crackers and went away by the time i was done eating it. I'm 14 weeks now and feel great!!!! Enjoy your pregnancy!!
hi lexiberry,
i just want to reassure you that there's nothing wrong with not having morning sickness. i had plenty of people tell me that i was one of the lucky ones because its not fun. i had no symptoms, i ate normally, i'm not on any mediations, i try to eat extra healty too. some women get it and some do not.
if that dosen't reassure you. i'm 30 yoa and i had my first baby this past june 8th and have a happy & healthy baby boy named "Lukas" at 6 pounds 10oz. Lukas is a happy baby and is now 12 pounds, he started making sounds & talking noises at 7 weeks.
i recently found out my sister is pregos now and she got morning sickness. so it all depends.
don't worry too much its not good for baby.
Although I am grateful not to have any of the annoying signs of pregnancy either, I understand your concern. This is my first pregnancy too. I don't have tenderness in my breasts or morning sickness. However, I am exhausted on a daily basis and have recently developed the need to burp after meals (YUCK!) which was never the case before. I go for my first full exam on the 12th and hope that everything is okay.
Thank you for posting. I find it comforting to see others like myself.
Haha, it's like I'm reading a message about myself! I'm 27 wks now, and every time someone asks me how I'm feeling, they are amazed when I say, "great, it's been great the whole time." That is: I NEVER had morning sickness. I did not get sick or throw up one time during the first (and now second) trimester. I often wondered, also, if I was really preggers, but, alas, I am! Granted, I was tired at the beginning, and now, at this stage, I get some pretty good heartburn....I just never had any (what I considered) symptoms of pregnancy. All I tell people is that I must have gotten pretty lucky in that department...Never sick, never queasy, never so tired I fell asleep whenever I was still. I did get headaches for about two weeks, and I have heartburn now, but, all things considered, I'd say I got off pretty easy.
Bottom line: You're not alone
We are the lucky ones.
