Is anyone else constipated beyond belief? It's crazy horrible. If you are...what are you doing to help?

Magnesium supplements are my friend. It is a miracle, I promise you. They were suggested to me by my naturopath when she had me start calcium supplements.

Prunes generally do the trick for me. When I have patients in the hospital who are clogged I offer them warm prune juice. Warm liquid helps get things moving along.
So glad it's not just me!! I swear...it feels like I am crapping Stonehenge every time I attempt to go. And when I do get the pleasure of going...it comes out like little rocks. I even hear a plunking noise!
I have been taking some metamucil but I don't think that helps much. Maybe I will try the Miralax. Something has got to give.

I tried the prune juice...I drank the whole thing of it. Did nothing but turn the little rocks green! LOL

Is it a bad thing that sometimes I wish for one day of mud-butt? *sigh*

I've been taking Colace. My doctor said I could take 2 a day so I take one in the morning and one at night. It helps more then Metamucil, but not much. This is just awful, I feel like I need to go so badly that I'm uncomfortable all the time, but I can't. This is hands down my most hated pregnancy symptom. I get really upset when I think about 23 more weeks of this!

I take Colace 100 mg twice a day. It's OTC. It seems to help a lot. Sure, there are some days that are a bit more uncomfortable than others but the Colace has helped tremendously!

I'm drinking black tea every morning, and that seems to be helping some (I go right after almost every morning - not great but it's better than it was before).
I also was trying to eat flax seeds every day, but haven't had any in a bit.
Re: Perhaps TMI...but...I have to know...
Yes, except for that I was the opposite for the last 2 days. It was miserable! I almost called my doctor to ask if I was going to get too dehydrated
Try coffee, FiberOne bars, tea or just warm water with lemon!

With my DD is was horrible! Activia yogurt helped after a few days. Warm water with lots of lemon helped too.
This time I'm as loose as can be! I was concerned enough to ask my doctor.
My body is WEIRD.
