I cant decide if my cravings are "real" I always thought when you craved something, you HAD to have it right then and there no matter what!
But it seems like food sounds good, I see commercials and it looks good. But it doesnt just pop into my head like I imagioned and haunt me until I give in. Not sure if I have cravings, people always ask if I do, but I dont think so.
Anyone have those HAVE to have it cravings? anyone like me and food just sounds good but I dont HAVE to have it?
Re: cravings? are they real?
I have cravings in the sense that I think about it all the time but don't HAVE to have it immediately. I was craving cheese curds from A&W for weeks before I finally went and got them. They were disgusting and now I can't even stomach thinking about it.
I did crave raisin bran early on and would eat it 2-3 times a day until the box was gone.

Mine are exactly like this--I just think about things that sound good until I end up getting them. I've actually never had an "I need this RIGHT NOW" kind of craving. Things just kind of hang out in the back of my head.
I'm pretty much like you -- someone will mention a food, or I'll see an ad or something, and I'll be like, "Oooh, that sounds delicious," and I'll go get it and it's great.
I've only had one thing be a mouthgasm, lol, and I didn't "crave" it beforehand... just, once it was in my mouth, it was the most amazing thing I'd ever eaten. (And when poor DH asked for a bite to see what I was on about, I gave him this half-panicked look like I was going to cry if he took any of it away from me.) ... It was an avocado-and-bacon sandwich with herb butter and sharp cheddar cheese. God, it was amazing.

Yeah, I think it's just a slight nagging. There are days where I let myself give into them faster, but I wouldn't say I've ever seriously thought I had to have it right then and there. For example, sushi was a craving for a month or so until I had it, and I still want some cheesy garlic french bread from Schwann's...
However, I do eat A1 almost everyday... that tastes so, so good on every single thing you could ever eat. The days I don't get to have it, though, I don't get upset.
I think my only real craving was fruit. There were a couple of weeks there when I just couldn't live without it. If I saw it, it had to be in my mouth. H had a hard time walking through the farmers market with me, because there were so many fruit samples - I was like a crazy woman, eating everything I saw. We kept tons of fruit in the house.
Since then there have been things that I really want, like right now it's pasta, but it's not that same feeling of I need to have that right now!
