Hello everyone! I am 8 weeks along and stressed out beyond belief in regards to the move. To add to the stress of moving, I'm worried about finding a good/decent OB/GYN after the move. Does anyone have any recommendations or doctors you've worked with previously that are attentive and decent? Any input would be greatly appreciated...thanks!
Re: Moving to the Denver area soon...any recommendations on OB/GYN's??
This! Since becoming pregnant, I've seen four of the OB's in the Rocky Mtn OB/GYM practice, and they are all great. I'd also recommend Dr. Dan Jacobsen. Good luck with the move!
I use the center for midwifery at CU Denver Hospital. They don't just deliver babies, but provide comprehensive OB/GYN services to all women, regardless of whether or not they're pregnant.
Highly recommend.
Congrats and welcome to Denver (hoping for an easy transition and move!!)
If you are moving to the southern part of the Denver area (Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Parker area..ect.) Ridge Gate OBGYN are amazing!!! You get to meet all of the Doctors on staff and pick who you are most comfortable with. I moved from Utah and didn't have a clue of where to go. My RE's nurses gave me Ridge Gates' number and it was the best choice I made!
They are located on the campus of Sky Ridge Hospital the number is 303.795.3110. Good Luck!!!
I actually just moved into the Lone Tree area this last week, so this will help plenty! These last two weeks with the move was highly stressful and now I'm just trying to adjust to the higher altitude being pregnant!
Before I left Milwaukee, I convinced my OB there to give me an ultrasound since I did not want to wait until I got here to transition over to a new OB. I had the ultrasound on Sept. 16th and as a matter of fact, I was further along than expected! Instead of being 9 weeks at the ultrasound, I was measuring at 12 wks, 2 days, but my OB said I could be at least 14 weeks along! So this week I could be at 15 weeks or 17, but I would need another ultrasound to verify.
I will definitely look in Ridge Gate since that is much closer than having to travel into the Denver area for a good OB...thank you again for the recommendation!
Dr. Stephanie Owens!! New office opened on 20th and High Street if you know how to navigate downtown. They take special care of you and take their time, not rushing and even doing things upon special request.
My husband and I went together for my third appt. and he hadn't seen the baby on the US machine so I asked if we could see the heartbeat and she said yes, and he was left grinning ear to ear with pictures to take back home with him (since he lives in NM atm).
However, when I first went to get my first appt., I didn't even know I was pregnant. She did an emergency ultrasound to make sure it wasn't ectopic (I was having pain, etc.) She's truly a wonderful woman.
Her number is: 303-322-2240.
I used her with DD 2 and I was really disappointed in her. I am currently looking for a different Dr. because I really don't want to go back there.
ETA: she didn't make it on time to deliver DD the nurse and my husband did it. It was a scheduled induction and she had told me when she was breaking my water that she would make it no problem.
Hi!
I work with several OB/GYN's! I must admit that I know more Kaiser OB's than private's OB's. But if you are looking for non-kaiser doc's, I recommend: Dr. Arrigo or any of the doctors in Dr. Zarlengo's group.
Do you know what insurance and/or hospital you will be using?
Any reviews on Kaiser Docs or Midwives at St. Joes?
Who would you like to know about?
Who would you like info on?
