Since there seem to be a bunch of us around tonight...
If you hypothetically were to have your preschool pics looking something like this, would you like them? What would you change? I'm thinking of a chair and yes, I know the faux floor needs work (and I've fixed most of the problem with that) and the baseboard gap (which again I think I've fixed). Would you generally order more full lengths or close-ups? I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say on here as you know but if I were hypothetically trying out my set up for my hypothetical first preschool pics I'm maybe doing in a month or so, what would you change? Mostly looking for feedback on the background/set up. I know my girls were totally hamming it up and DS wanted nothing to do with these pics...though he was trying to get into the girls' tea party pics on another set up I was trying out. Anyway, would this set up be something you'd like? With or without a chair? What do you think?
And a fun one of DS just because I couldn't help laughing. He's saying "Nooooo" as he runs away.
Re: Preschool Pics...
I like close ups, like the 3rd one down that you posted.
That pic of your DS is too cute!
Cute! I like it. Need three more kids to practice with? : )
I can't tell that the faux floor was faux wood in most of the pictures. It looks too shiny (is that what you fixed?).
I like close ups but would consider a full length.
Love all the ones you posted.
I would buy the 3rd one. I don't know if I would buy more than I had to of the others. The 3rd one I would buy extras of.
Yea, the floor is a little rippley.
My (hypothetical) plan is to offer 4 proofs for each kid. I might have two set-ups - one like this and one of just straight white backdrop, high key. Each kid would get a close-up and a full length on each backdrop, taking less than 2 minutes per kid.
The biggest thing with the floor is you can see the wrinkles. I started to fix it with these tea-party pics (different background), but I need to get more plexi-glass to go underneath it and give it a hard surface to sit on.
And shop, you know you're welcome to pics anytime you guys wanna come down here. We can do studio or not, but you know I'll do you any time.
And yes, I know they're cheesy preschool pics, but given the time constraints and space and everything, I'm trying to make them as personalized as possible while still doing "school pictures" and not trying to be perfect. Like I said, my girls were kinda ridiculous with their posing, but that was totally them. They're too cheesy for me for what I usually do, but for school pics, I think that's where we're going...
:::snicker::
I knew you'd be the first to pick up on that r. Such a dirty mind!
Umm... these pics are about a BILLION times better than the ones that they did at DS's preschool last year. His were pathetic... I could have taken better pics (with my nice camera that I have yet to learn how to properly use). It was just sad, sad, sad.
That said, I personally prefer close-ups, but I would have been happy with any of the pics you posted... great job!
I think they are really cute- like the pps said, I would crop the full length in a bit, but still keep some full length options. I would buy them once the background issues were worked out.
Any option to do a couple outside too, or would that take up too much time?
