The dreaded "weight post"

Re: The dreaded "weight post"

  • I'm up 7lbs from pre-pregnancy at my 19 week appt. I feel fine about it. I'd like to keep my weight gain under 25lbs total if possible. I wasn't overweight to start with but I used to be and I lost 55lbs in the last 3 years so putting on weight is scary to me.

  • So I started at 151, last time I went to OB I was 150, and now I'm 155 as of OB yesterday.  I thought she might be upset at 5 lbs in one month, but all she did was ask if I was eating and told me to make sure to eat something.  So I guess she was more worried about the overall and not the month to month, which I like.
  • At my appointment last week, I was up 12 lbs from when I started.  But, I had just eaten a huge chinese lunch...so I am hoping it's really 10 lbs.  ha ha.  We will see - hoping I can get away with 20-25 lbs total.  Not exercising enough, but not indulging too often with really bad for you foods...giving into chocolate cravings about once a week.

  • According to the dr I'm up 8 pounds at 21 weeks. According to my records (weight before the first dr appt) I'm up 11. The dr seemed fine with it and said that I'm on track to be right around 20-25 which is where she wanted me since I was overweight to begin with.

  • I'm up 8 lbs at 21 weeks.  I want to keep it under 20 total, because I started out overweight, so I think I'm doing okay.  According to the OB's scale, I've gained 10 lbs and she's fine with that, so either way, I'm good.  As long as I'm still looking cute in my mat clothes, I'm happy.

  • I have gained 6 lbs.  My doctor is very pleased and if she is happy then I am happy too.

  • I am about the same, but I started out overweight and I am trying to eat healthy and work out. My doctor seems pretty happy.

  • I started at 124 and I am up 7-8 pounds at 19 weeks which I am pretty happy with. I was definitely worried about gaining too much and I am sure it would be way more if the GD didn't force me to stick to a good diet and exercise every day.

  • I think I have gained about 6-8 pounds.

I'm happy to gain the weight but I'd like to keep the total under 40, more like 35 this time. Last pregnancy, I gained 40 and it was definitely not all baby. I also ate whatever I wanted to, which is probably not the healthiest way to go about it.

But i'm content with whatever gains need to be made, so long as baby and I are both healthy. I know that I can get my body back into shape afterwards, and I've never had any real body image issues to speak of, I'm lucky for that.

  • I'm up about 7-8 lbs but 3 of those lbs showed up overnight!  I think I'm pretty happy with that weight gain but I admit it's a bit hard psychologically.

  • I gained 9lbs right away, I assume because I stopped working out (due to being overly winded).  I just weighed myself today and have gained a total of 12lbs.  Not proud of that by any means, but my OB has not said a thing about it so I assume I am ok.

  • I started at 93lbs and am up to 105.4lbs (as of last night). It's a little weird for me because I am very petite and have never broken 100lbs before, but it's totally worth it.
