Hi,
I'm looking for a recommendation for a midwife in the Ann Arbor area. I will be moving there and do not know anyone in the area.
I'm very interested in St. Joes Mercy. Has anyone used a CNM that is affiliated with St. Joes? If so, please share about your experience and how to contact them?
Does anyone have any thoughts on UofM midwives versus St. Joes?
Please, any help would be appreciated!
Thank you!
Re: Looking for Ann Arbor Midwife!
Hello I live in Ann Arbor, when are you due? I am due in March
Maybe we can get together sometime. When are you moving this way?
I work for a family, the mom is a pedi's nurse. She delivered at St. Joe's, she used a regular OB. However she said delievering there was great, she liked at and had a nice delivery in Oct of last year. However she told me that the Midwives at UofM are WONDERFUL. I am using a Uof M OB myself, but I think her office has midwives. Let me know if you would like their info and I can send it to you. I really like their office and the OB. The only thing is I am not sure my exact OB will be the one to deliver me since they rotate. At first that bothered me since I picked her for a reason, but now I have had to talk to a few OB's on call and they were all great too, so I am not worried. Uof M is opening the new hospital in Novemeber too, which was a + for me in picking.
I delivered at U of M, just because it was a little closer to us and my last delivery was super speedy.
I used the midwives at East Ann Arbor off of Plymouth Rd. and it was a great experience! We also go to the pediatrics there.
