Will we ever be able to go out again, after this?

I'm freaking out a little.... We just moved to this small town where we don't know anybody and I wouldn't feel comfortable getting a stranger to babysit... there is this play that DH and I really wanted to go to and just got the info in the mail for it (we ordered before we got preg) and then we were like wait....how can we go to this...we can't because the baby will only be like 3 weeks old...it's just weird to think about the fact we can just go do whatever we want anymore.

Perhaps 3 weeks is early to go out, especially if you don't have family around.  However, OF COURSE you will be able to go out again!  Parenting is not a prison sentence with ankle bracelets on house arrest.  It just changes things.  You'll have to plan more, etc, but it's still fun.  Otherwise the human race would have ended a long time ago!

You'll find a way to get out. Maybe not that soon, but in time.

Do you know of any MOMS Clubs (www.momsclub.org) or other mother's support groups in the area?? The MOMS Club I belong to has been a LIFEsaver for DH and I, being that we're "all alone" (no friends/family) down here in GA.

It's not my style to say this, but maybe find a church with some people your age and see if you can meet other moms.  Sorry, I sound like my mom!

you'll get out   we took DD with us to the melting pot for our anniversary dinner when she was two weeks old.  we were able to bring in the carrier and she either slept or bf'ed the whole time.  honestly, early on it's easy - all they do is sleep and eat!  it's when they stop sleeping as much and get more mobile that you can't take them anywhere.  but, you manage even then!
