Good meals to freeze??

This is my last week of work, so I'm planning on doing alot of cooking and baking next week. Besides chilli, soups and lasangna, what are some other ideas.

Thanks

Re: Good meals to freeze??

  • I cooked a couple of lbs of ground chicken taco filling that I froze in portions perfect for DH and I.

  • Quiche, meatloaf, meatballs, stews, etc.

You can also marinade meat (chicken, beef, etc) and freeze it, so all you have to do is throw it on your grill pan or in the oven.?

  • Baked spaghetti, cabbage rolls, I made a bunch of casseroles and froze them in individual ziplock containers (I actually was really tired the other day and ate one of them, and it was awesome!  So I know any sort of casserole will turn out very well).  I made a few dinners (chicken and veggies for DH, fish and veggies for me), let them cool, and then froze them in individual freezer bags.

  • Also...I've been making sure to pack pretty much everything I make with veggies, even if they're not called for.  That way I don't have to cook anything at all, just reheat what's frozen.  Example: every casserole has a ton of veggies in it.  I also put a ton of spinich in the baked spaghetti.  It makes it a full meal.  Just a thought.
  • Thanks for all the ideas.
  • chicken or turkey pot pie. ?spaghetti sauce. ?enchiladas.

I'm new to this site but thought you would like to check out this website i just learned about from another board site.

  • My SIL made mac-n-cheese (just the Kraft kind, it was so good since we weren't eating much) and some chicken breasts (coated with the Good Seasonings Italian dressing packet and some parm cheese).  They both froze surprisingly well and we ate them for a week afterward.
