When did you stop swaddling your boys? I'm having a hard time calling it quits with the MB's. It just seems like as soon as I swaddle them they know its bed time/nap time. But they are starting to break loose more, and sometimes seem to really hate being so confined.

Also did you stop cold turkey?

we didn't stop until 6mo all 3 of my boys were late to turn over (often) so it wasn't an issue being in the swaddle that long - they never flipped in them at night.

we used MB's - and made sure to tuck the flaps under their butts- not their backs - b/c if under their backs they can arch them and pull their arms out- it's harder if the flaps are under their butts b/c there is weight on the flaps

when we did it we did one arm at a time each night to see how it went.  Grayson was swaddle free in 2 nights... Gibby took a lot longer - he really liked the swaddle a LOT and didn't do well with the transition - took him maybe a week or 2 with one arm out, then finally the 2nd.

Thank you! They aren't flipping onto their tummies yet, I figured as soon as I saw that I'd stop cold turkey.

Love the tip on tucking under their butt! We've been tucking under their back so maybe that's why they can get their arms out by morning.
