Know what I can't wait for?

The day when I see Nicholas and Ava playing together.   Like this time next year when he's 3 1/2 and she's 17 months and they are running around my downstairs just playing and having a good time.  

I know people say they don't want to rush time, but I'm so looking forward to seeing them interact with each other.  

Just curious to see how they'll get along.

It really is very cute to watch.  We have 2 plastic fire hats, and alone, neither of them has ever been interested.  Well, I put one on DD's head the other day and she laughed but took it off.  DS saw her with it on, then put the other one on his head.  DD saw him with his on, brought hers over to me and I put it on her again.  Then they spent the next 30+ minutes running around with their hats on, laughing at each other.  So cute!

The not so fun part is the fighting over toys, as browneyedgirl said.  The don't care about a toy until the other one has it.  It is funny to see DS run to the play room, grab some random toy, bring it over to DD (and say "DD want green car") and attempt to take what she is playing with.  At least he gets that he has to "trade" - but he doesn't quite get that she needs to want what he has before he can take her toy away from her!

Oh of course I know that too.   I have 2 sisters and we fought all the time.
