10) Whats the one thing you wish you'd known before you got pregnant? I wish I had stocked up on Zofran before I got pregnant. And, I wish that when I gave birth I already knew all the things Lila likes and dislikes. Those first few weeks of trial and error were very difficult!
11) What baby gear has been essential? Her swing, crib, zip up pajamas, the bumbo, and her pack n' play.
12) What baby gear was a total waste? Swaddling gear, she hated it from day one, her bouncer was also a waste, she cries every time we put her in it.

I don't think there's anything that I could have been told that would make anything better or easier. I knew about all of the potential things that could (reasonably) happen and difficulties we could have. I knew that having a baby would change everything. There's nothing anyone could have said that would have prepared me, anyway.
Ok, maybe if I knew what "spit-up" entailed. I knew spit up was normal, but not what it was supposed to look like. The first week I nearly had a heart attack when he spit up and coughed on it a little.
11) What baby gear has been essential?
The swing. The boppy. The jumperoo (starting now-ish). The pack n'play - for diaper changes. Cloth diapers. The water thermometer for baths. His bouncy seat. My ring sling!!! The glider.

The bumbo. The stroller. My manual breast pump. Pacifiers.
