I usually call her "Ellie", but she's been using her own name lately and refuses to call herself "Ellie". It's ALWAYS "Eleanor" - when she answers what her name is, when she refers to herself doing/having something. I think I've heard her say "Ellie" once or twice, and that was only b/c I was trying to get her to say it. lol I really didn't think she'd have a preference for a few more years!
Re: Also, I think I need to start calling DD by "Eleanor"
I'm impressed!! The best we get out of Caroline is "I Taro!" LOL
That's so funny, who would think she'd have a preference so young?
When I was younger I always said my name was Kristine - because my mother always said "Your name is Kristine", "You spell your name - Kristine" etc... I always went by Krissy at home though. Had someone asked me what my nickname was I would answer Krissy, but not many people ask that.
I didn't catch on until later that I could actually introduce myself as Krissy if I wanted to, because that was my name too.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I'm impressed with Eleanor and "Taro". Nicholas still doesn't say his name. Not even Nick or Nicky.
ditto! It's only in the last month or two that Elizabeth has been able to say her name and it still comes out Liz-a-bet. Before that, she called herself Bet-bet.
But how cute that she says Eleanor over Ellie!
lol she started out saying it "Nelnor" and now it sounds more like "Elnanor", but pretty close! Never Ellie, though...so funny!
