Success after IF

If your baby had a really predictable routine in utero...

did he/she continue that pattern after birth? This LO consistently seems to quiet down overnight and I'm trying not to get my hopes up :)

Re: If your baby had a really predictable routine in utero...

  • M was REALLY active in utero and has never been a napper on the outside, so I would say she continued her routine once she was born.  :)

  • I wish my answer was yes. When I was pg, P was always super calm and quiet at night. He never once woke me up by kicking. Unfortunately, he is a horrible sleeper, and we are still dealing with several wakings every night. We even tried to Ferberize (by the book) with little progress after a week. We might have to try again in a few weeks because this schedule is not working for anyone :(

Surprise! Baby #4 is due in March!
  • Both of my LO's were very active at night. They'd constantly wake me up kicking and punching. Now, they are both most active in the afternoon and evening....so no correlation for us!

  • Never thought of that, but yes, I guess he did.  He constantly moved, no matter the time of day or night, and always had the hiccups.  He's always been very active, never slept well and still gets the hiccups every time he laughs hard! :)
