  • You know, speaking of using a midwife, I often felt like I was a midwife to DS with his poops before he was more mobile.

  • Ooh I want to hear about the stool too please! Also- did you take a post partum herb bath, was that your pic in the other thread? My Doula made us this awesome herbal bath that DS and I took as soon as we got home from the hospital, we put it in the crockpot, it was wonderful!

  • Ah! Sorry, I just saw all of this! Yes, it was exactly like the birthing stool in the picture, I did use a midwife and loved it (also with DS) and yes we had a postpartum herbal bath. I was in a squatting position at first, but then someone suggested the stool and I was all for it, it reminded me of squatting with some support for your legs. My birth experience with Grace was absolutely amazing, I loved giving birth on the stool because I felt very in control and I even helped deliver her:)! I have my very non graphic birth video on youtube, if you really want to get the idea;).

  • I admit that I'm jealous. There's a big part of me who really wanted to deliver via midwife but I'd need to find one with a hospital affiliation next time given our complications.

Can't watch the video right now, but that sounds interesting!
