s/o: What is your least favorite month?

I think mine would be January.  The post-holiday let down, the doldrums of winter.  Blah.

  • August.  Hands down.  I can't take the heat anymore at this point!!  August is so BLAH and miserable.

  • Least favorite would be January.  It's after the holidays, I'm OVER the snow, and it feel like it goes on forever!

  • It used to be November.  When I still lived in Michigan...it was getting cold, the days are getting shorter.  I never liked Thanksgiving because I didn't really like the family we had to spend it with.  And once DH and I were together, Thanksgiving was just another stupid holiday that we had to spend rushing around.  I hated all of it.

But now, we live in Texas.  November has nice, mild weather.  We spend a lot of the time at the park in November.  Thanksgiving is fun because now we spend it with friends.  I don't hate November anymore.

I used to find myself getting depressed every fall.  The year is ending, everything is dying and winter is coming.  I never connected the depression with the season until we moved and suddenly I was happy around Thanksgiving.  For the first time in my life, I actually like fall :)

  • February, though I get the January argument.  I like January because its my birthday, football is going bonkers and there is a parade of insanity here in Tampa called Gasparilla that is fun beyond all reason.

So February.  I hate Valentine's Day (I just find it stupid), and football is over.

  • March.  It's usually still cold and the snow hasn't melted yet and by that point I am just so sick of the winter!

  • In US: February - never-ending cr@p weather. In Australia: July - never-ending cr@p weather and no holidays!

  • January, hands down, for obvious reasons!

  • I'm going to say February - it's cold and I am ready for Spring.

January isn't as bad because I am looking forward to getting back into my routine after the holiday-craziness. It is calming. Also, I like making new year goals/resolutions.

June. I have hayfever and live in a hay field. I die every June of seasonal allergies, especially when pregnant and BFing (so... every year in the last 5 years) and the hay comes down at the end of June or early July, so June is the worst. It looks lovely and inviting outside, and the kids want to be out in the yard, but I just can't.

I think this must be what I suffer from, as well. It is the ONLY time I have allergies -- late June to early July. Miserable.

  • February. I am DONE with winter by then. November/December is a close second. The short, dark days depress me.

  • February.  My birthday is in February, but I still dislike it.  I am so over the winter at that point, and we are stuck inside for the majority of the month.

  • March or April.  Even though my bday is in April.  I can't stand the warm weather tease.  I'm so over rain and cold, blah days by then and we'll get these mini samplers of spring/summer and then it'll keep raining for another month.  Yuck.

  • January or February, probably a tie.  Winters get long and I swear we always talk about where we could move that had milder winters around that time.  So dark, cold and sometimes days without sun get very depressing.

  • Oooo, I'd say it's a tie between February and August.  February because the snow has lost it's appeal and it's still too cold to do anything outside.  August because it's way too hot and my energy is just zapped!
  • I live in the north, so it's definitely January through March....so hard to get through those months!! But it makes me appreciate the rest of the year so much more.

  • May for sure is the worst. That's when we have the most/worst tornadoes every year. Its closely followed by August, which is too much heat and bad storms even tho my birthday is in August.

  • It used to be March/April for me because I am so tired of wet snow that hasn't melted and just gross days overall.  But over the past few years, I've realized I hate August and spend it waiting for the relief of cool weather and the fall.  Even though August has a lot of celebration days for our family, I'm so over summer by now.  I hate being out in the grossness and usually end up inside with the kids once the afternoon kicks in to gear.

  • For me it is any month that is less that 70F. I'm originally from California. I'm used to brief spring and fall months and winter is just depressing. I've found though that I need at least 1 month of each as I do get burned out on summer after awhile. If the year went 1 month of spring, 9 months of summer, one fall (just for thanksgiving dinner) and one of winter that would be my kind of climate control. I miss the weather back home. Since I moved to the Cincinnati area I've experience every kind of extreme weather they have here and I'm very over that :P
