What is your DD dressing up as for Halloween?

A little early I know but the past two year I've made her costumes (ladybug and a butterfly) so I like to have plenty of time.  I can't really think of anything I would like for her to be this year and if you ask her what she wants to be she says " I want to be Halloween" lol 

Just looking for some ideas. TIA

I got DD a Tinkerbell costume massively discounted in summer sales last month. I am not crafty, so making her costume was never an option.

Last year, I did the same thing with an Ariel costume and that was a big hit as well. In fact, DD is saying she wants to be Ariel again for part of the day and then Tinkerbell.

And yes, I have completely given in to the Disney craze. We don't even watch the movies, but Disney Princesses are like air- all around you.

We haven't decided yet. Options are an Auburn cheerleader outfit she already owns, a sesame street character (Elmo or Abby, probably), or something Disney (Vidia (if they make one), Tinker Bell, maybe Tiana). Basically we have no idea!!

I was thinking Little Bo Peep and DS will be a lamb or I was also thinking of making her a Southern Belle.

DH bought DD1 a giraffe costume for Halloween a few days ago.  Now I just have to alter it to suit our warm weather.  Not sure what DD2 will be yet.  I found a unicorn costume I like, but it only comes in a size 1-2 years, so it will be too big.  Still working on it.

Last year I put together a pretty great Madeleine costume with things I bought online including a cape from Etsy. This year, I don't know...Thanks to her Dora Halloween book she wants to be a "Vumpire". I'm not sure if I am ready to give in to that...I'm hoping she will forget and choose something else.

Probably, some sort of princess.  Like the previous poster, my daughter has not really watched the movies, but seems to know a lot about them.  I have just given in to the princess craze.

I'm leaning towards Tinkerbell.  I also like the idea of a butterfly, but I haven't seen any costumes that I really like yet.

I thought she would be Dora, but I can't find any costumes that I like. I did find a knitted hat on etsy with Boots and thought baby brother could wear that, since he will be a newborn.

I also thought about a princess and baby as a frog.

DD also likes Strawberry Shortcake- but couldn't think of anything matchy for baby. I did see a strawberry and cupcake on Old Navy's website and thought they were cute.

DS #1 will be buzz lightyear and DS #2 will be a dragon or yoda

DD#1 is obsessed with Spiderman, so she'll likely wear the spiderman costume I picked up last year on freecycle the week after halloween for DS.  DD#2 will likely be a princess.

Here, too. lol I let DD choose this year, and she is going to be Sleeping Beauty (unfortunately, bought full price at the Disney store.   I cringed as I handed the woman my credit card. lol)

I bought DD a super cute tutu/princessy pink dress at TJMaxx a while ago. I'm planning to get her little mouse ears (headband?), make a tale and get her a wand, some pink tights and pink shoes, and she'll be Angelina Ballerina. She's obsessed with that show and she loves to wear that dress around the house, so I think she'll enjoy it.

not sure what I am doing yet, but I am big on Halloween and I am all about the mother daughter costumes.  Usually we go trick or treating and then we march in the NYC Village Parade.  Costumes so far was tigger and tigger trainer, Wizard of OZ she was the lion I was Dorothy.  And my favorite last year was I was a crayon box and she was a crayon.  She also has other outfits for parties ect, So there was a lady bug, and a catarina (cat and ballerina).  You can always use the outfits for dress up so they will get lots of use.  Hope this helps

DD wants to be Snow White.  It is the only "princess" movie she has seen and she loves her!

We just got those Halloween costume magazines in the mail and she picked out a kitty costume! She's going to be adorable.
