I decided to buy DS a tablet for his birthday this year. I am not buying him anythign really expensive it is around $150. DS loves playing the toddler apps on my smart phone.
Do you guys think he is too young?

I think some of the apps on their are great for little guys. I plan on buying one for ME for DS to use at doctor appointments etc.
I am not sure I would bye one soley for DS use until he was old enough to take care of it himself.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

It's slightly different price-wise but my daughter uses my ipad more than I do. She loves some of the apps (drawing, etc) and games. That said, I don't consider it hers and don't think I'd buy one just for her; it's not b/c of the price but more the type of item it is that is why I say that I guess. I still think of it as something I let her use when she earns it or I want her to use it (she doesn't get free rein of it 24-7 the way she does with her other toys - puzzles, games, books, etc).
I agree w/ the others, I don't think I'd buy a tablet specifically for a toddler. I'd probably get one for myself and share it w/ them (have apps they'd enjoy on there).
I just don't think a 3 yr old would appreciate it and take care of it properly.
