3rd Trimester

28 weeks and this uncomfortable?

Now I know I shouldn't complain, because there are plenty of other ladies that are farther along and more uncomfortable than I am. I am just shocked that it went from an occasion uncomfortable day, to having all consuming uncomfortable days a couple times a week. and I just started my third trimester! LOL! Like Today she is in there moving, streaching, and I was up ALL night with sharp ligament pains .... I'm sure it's only the beginning! ;-D

Re: 28 weeks and this uncomfortable?

  • I understand your reluctance to complain but this forum is for help and support so hopefully the ladies will read your post as a request for that.  I found that exercises like pelvic rocks and tailor sitting really helped my leg/hip/back pains. I would also recommend you try squatting which helps relax the pelvis and can minimize round ligament pains. Go slow and be consistent with it and they will help. I was skeptical that they would help but truly it did.

As for LOs recent movement, that I haven't found a remedy for, it just becomes normal. Sorry :/

    GL! :)

  • I am in the same boat as you, feeling very uncomfortable already and still three months to go!  Sleeping just isn't what it used to be.  Take heart, it will all be well worth it in the end.

  • I was just telling DH that I feel uncomfortable so much earlier this time.  It was like one day last week someone flipped a switch to make that happen every day.

  • I have gone back and forth between more and less comfortable.  It just depends on the day and which direction she chooses to lay in there.  The newest thing for me is that she has finally stuck some body part right beneath my sternum.  It certain has made me sit up straighter!

  • I know the feeling, I get maybe 3 good hours of sleep a night. No laying on the left side for this momma. My hips and groin feel like they are crumbling everytime I lay down so I've been sleeping at an incline for the past monthTongue Tied I noticed that pelvic tilts do help quite a bit for when I'm at my desk all day but nothing for the night pains:( Only 12 or so more weeks, hope you find something that makes you more comfy!

  • I have just started to get really uncomfortable and I have started swimming and walking in the pool. It has helped me to keep some strength, but it is so low impact and relaxing at the same time.
