Can I please whine?

I need this NT scheduled stat for my mental health. Asked the OB on Monday to do it and he kept trying to tell me we could do it at 16-18 weeks. Ummmm...no you can't! I've called every day this week to check and they're still working on it. Ok, 11 weeks is Wed. and if they find problems and I need to do a CVS, it has to be done by 12 weeks and is through a 3rd clinic, so waiting for an appt. could take time. Any advice?

Does your OB office do NT scans?  I guess I can assume not if they're saying 16-18 weeks, I would call the MFM office or wherever you're having it and ask their recommended time frame and then call the scheduler at you OB office and tell them what the other office said.  

Or just try calling the surgery scheduler or whoever does the scheduling stuff at your OB office and say that you need it scheduled and maybe they'll just be able to do it.

How frustrating. I stayed with my RE until 12 weeks just to get my NT scan. I hope they get u in soon.

No, they don't. The nearest clinic that does is in another state. He didn't want me to have to drive twice since it would be too early for an amnio and he's not a fan of CVS tests. Whatev. I think I'll try to call the MFM since I was there last time and am an eastablished pt. Just trying not to step on toes, but I'm scared I'll miss the boat. Thanks for the advice!

That sucks. I'm pretty sure CVS is 11-13 weeks though? I had mine at 11 and I remember that they said I could go till 13 but maybe that was just my doctor.

Thanks, Cheeky! Some sites say 10-12 and some 10-13, so I'm not sure what the doc I'm going to does. I called again and they finally told me that my OB's nurse was out sick all week. Makes sense now. I'll start bugging again on Monday, lol!
