People of Walmart: The Creepy Edition (sort of MR)
So, DD and I went to the local Walmart to pick up a few things. Whenever we go, she insists on stopping by the toy section. We were going through the aisles and she was taking a long time looking at each toy (Barbies, My Little Pony, etc), and I do mean a loong time. I was pretty tired by then and I'm sure I looked kind of frazzled as I told her we needed to leave soon.
Well, this guy comes up the aisle and stops right by where I am. At first I thought he just wanted to get through, but he starts talking to me...
Creepy Guy : I just wanted to tell you how cute you look.
Me: (ok 
) Uhh, thanks
CG: How much longer do you have?
Me: One more week (at this point I'm starting to think he's not that creepy, just trying to make conversation)
CG: Oh wow, you're really close. 2nd?
Me: 2nd and 3rd, actually. Twins.
The conversation keeps going. He asks if twins run in my family etc. At one point, I just tell him "nice to meet you, we have to go" and I walk away. Well, DD and I make our way to another part of the store and see him twice, usually in the next aisle over to where we are. NOW it's starting to get weird.
We get to the diaper/baby section. I'm looking for a coupon in my wallet and I see him again. He comes up and pretends (I think) that he needs to get through the aisle where I am.
Me: Oh, hi again.
CG: Have you ever thought of having pictures taken?
Me: 
(I really really hope he's talking about maternity pictures) Actually, pictures are not really my thing, and I have to tell you, you're starting to make me uncomfortable.
CG: Oh, I'm sorry! Didn't mean to offend you.
Me: I'm not offended (you're just creeping me the hell out), but I saw you a couple of times and wondered if you were trying to strike up a conversation again. (awkward silence). Well, if you'll excuse me...
The rest of the time we were there I had to keep looking behind my back, making sure he wasn't following me (shudder).

I agree with other posters, def. creepy- you seem to have handled yourself quite well.

That is really weird! I wonder if he was trying to drum up business????? Maybe he is a photographer and just goes up to Moms and starts commenting on their kids....so dang weird!
DH was at Target picking up a few things and was approached by two guys in suit. They started talking about an "opportunity" i.e. pyramid scheme. DH just said no thanks and walked away. We were telling this to FIL and BIL, BIL was approached by the same two guys on a different day at the same Target. I guess these guys were just hanging out at Target trying to get business!
I was thinking this too but only because a photographer did approach us once. But he should have whipped out a business card once you told him you were uncomfortable. Weird!
