I am starting to notice DH's quirks because DS is starting to mimic them! They blink fast when they are thinking and swing their hands up and clap them. I know there are more, but I can't think of them right now.
I'm very routine/regimented-my morning routine (esp work days) is exactly the same every day. So is my bedtime routine. Another quirky thing I do is take apart some food (oreos, eat pop tart edges before the center, etc) and when I fill my dinner plate, I eat one thing until its gone then move to the next item on my plate. I'm sure I could think of more for myself!
I honestly can't think of anything for DH-he's not an oddball like me I guess!
The one that sticks out for me is that I have to go to bed in a made-up bed. Something about peeling back the blankets each night gets me to relax. If I've been lazy or in a rush that day and didn't make it before heading to work, I will make the bed before getting into it for the night.
I also need to eat my vegetables before anything else on my dinner plate.
DH will not eat a sandwich with unmelted cheese on it. I'm sure he has others, but I guess I've just become immune to them.
I'd say that DH's #1 quirk is needing to wash his hands a lot. He's not a clean freak with anything but that really - but I still think he has OCD tendencies.
I don't know if I have any - I mean I have a lot of flaws, haha! but I'm not sure if I would call any of them quirks.
Ooo...just thought of one when I was typing a response to the Carter's post below. I have this "thing" about my kids' bellies being exposed while they are sleeping. I HAVE to put them in onesies. Evan will be wearing them until he can keep a blanket on all night and who knows when that will be Quirky?
I'm like Wendy, I don't make my bed each day but I do pull the covers up just so that I can have them "just so" when I get into bed at night. DH & I usually watch TV or read before bed and I will get out of bed, pull the covers up just to pull them back down, lol.
I need to have a clean kitchen before I go to bed.
I can't really think of any that DH has but now I'll be on the look out for them!
DH - Puts his singles in alphabetical order. Singles have letters on them, did you know that? I didn't until I watched him do this one time. But not in perfect alphabetical order - A, E, then other letters. He also needs to have the tag on blankets in the bottom left corner.
Me - I count stairs as I walk up or down them. I won't eat the "butt" of a loaf of sandwich bread but it is my favorite piece on a loaf of crusty bread.
I know we both have a bunch, but these are what I can think of now.

I did know that...my grandma used to collect the K dollars. If you had any, she'd trade you for them. That's what she used for Christmas gifts. If she gave us cash, it was all in K dollars.
I can't sleep w/ the closet door open... even if it's pitch black in the room and I can't see anything, I can always "feel" that the door is open.
I can't fall asleep if there are dishes in the sink- this annoys DH... last night he had a bowl of ice cream and the dishwasher was running so he set the bowl in the sink. We were laying in bed, and I got up to take some Advil and I had to wash the bowl and spoon.
DH has a thing when he grocery shops (which isn't often)- he has to line everything up on the belt exactly how he wants it bagged. And he'll move things around if the cashier bags it differently.

I do that, too! I blame it one being a cashier at Wegmans for a few years.
I was a cashier trainer for a year and I was a really good bagger, if I do say so myself (what a marketable skill, right?). DH won't even touch the groceries if we go shopping together, because I always tell him he does it wrong.
Me: the toilet paper always has to go under. If I see it over, I will switch it. Even if I'm in someone elses house. I will check a set alarm clock over a dozen times, just to make sure. Closet door has to be closed at night, creeps me out.
DH: most of his comes from being in the military. Socks folded just right, tee- shirts folded a certain way. Bed corners have to be specific way. But other than that I really cant think of any.
TTC since 6/2003. m/c 9/14/03 8 weeks, 5 chemical pregnancies, mmc 6/04 12 weeks, Michael born sleeping 5/25/05 at 22weeks always our angel, fought ovarian cancer and won, m/c 4/06 5.2 weeks and 7/07 6.6 weeks,Our Miracle baby girl born 4/8/10,mc 12/18/11 at 5.3 weeks, BFP 10/26/12 dating u/s on 11/8/12 showing a strong heartbeat!EDD July 4,2013. RCS on 6/27. Baby boy in NICU for 8 long and scary days before he was able to come home. We are now a happy family of 4
DH - He has this facial thing he does.... like he sucks in on the side of his mouth.... I dont even think he knows when he does it... but it looks pretty silly
Me - I dont like to drink "the end" of 2L soda. If there is only a small amount of liquid in the soda bottle, I wont drink it - I will, however, drink the whole bottle of 20 oz. soda, no problem. I also dont drink white milk - my milk has to have nestle quik in it - not hersheys syrup - only nestle quik,
Me - I didnt notice this until my aunt pointed it out (my mom does it as well), If someone asks me a question, and the answer is no... I will say "Yea, No." Like for example.... if someone asked me "Are you going to the Fair today?", Ill answer "Yea, no, Im going to the Fair tomorrow"

ooohhh yeah - I do this too... I also have a mild OCD with hecking that things arent "on", or that doors are locked.... I will get all the way up to bed, and will get out of bed if I am slightly uncertain that the stove isnt off, or the back door not locked - even if DH has confirmed that he locked the door, or if I remember that I turned the stove off like four hours before. I have also had my step-MIL go to the house to confirm that Ive unplugged a flat iron, or the regular iron if I am on the road for work....
Well the good news is that a bunch of us have the same "weird" quirks so maybe they're normal
I'm OCD about checking things that are plugged in and the that the doors are locked. I have to consciously tell myself "I am unplugging my flat iron" so that I don't keep checking it. I also trim my meat very well and won't eat any pieces with the slightest bit of fat. I also cut it all up before I eat any. And I don't like different foods to touch. I do the putting items on the grocery belt a particular way too, and I usually try to bag them, I get annoyed with crappy bagging. If DH is with me, he usually makes fun of me and says "Bagger of the Year" because I worked in a supermarket too.
The one thing I can think of right now is that DH has to check the doors in a particular order every night before he goes upstairs to bed.
Me: I do the bagging thing too. I always try to tell them to "use as few bags as possible. Smush everything together"... and then I load my car and find out that there are bags with only one or two small items. What IS that? ugh. So irritating. I want to teach a bagging class sometimes.
I also do the check-everything-fifty-bazillion-times to make sure it is shut off/ alarm on/ locked whatever. I think that's pretty normal. Seems like a lot of us do it. lol
I am also totally neurotic about my closet/clothes. Folded a certain way, stored in certain drawers and on a certain SIDE of the drawer. My closet is nauseatingly organized. Tops on top, bottoms on the bottom (crazy, right? I know). Then... the tops/bottoms are organized by sleeve/pant length and color. Kevin thinks it is funny to put things back in the wrong place or switch them around. I disagree.
DH: Oddly enough... I can't think of any right now. wait, scratch that. He drives about 5mph slower when he is talking. Probably a good thing, but when we are driving in to work together (and running late), it drives me nutso!!!
I don't know if this would be considered a quirk but it's something my dh does that DRIVES ME INSANE. He smirks!! And I know he really can't help it but it comes off as really inappropriate at times. However, I knew he did this before we got married so I can't really complain I guess. It just gets embarassing sometimes.
Me....I don't think I have any ;o) Actually, I can be a little OCD sometimes.
DH hums if he is annoyed with me about something...which annoys the heck out of me! He has to squeeze the toothpaste frmo the bottom, where I do not care.
I am pretty particular with where things in general need to be...needless to say I have had to ease up on this with kids.
I used to check things that could cause fires like crazy..now I just glance around the kitchen quick before I leave.
Re: GTKY: Quirks- yours or dh
DH would tell you I have a ton of them-haha!

Haha these made me laugh! Mine and DH's are a combination of Batty's and IrishEyes.
DH: He eats one thing on his plate until it is gone, then moves onto the next. I'm not sure why it drives me bonkers, but it does!
Me: I won't eat the "butt" of the sandwich loaf, but it's the first one I grab when it's garlic bread :-)
These of course are just a few of many!
