Does your 3 year old chew on everything?

So I bite my nails - yes, yes, I know horrbile. Well, Rhayna has picked that up from me I assume and even though I discourage it, have made a deal with her that we can remind eachother not to do it - she still does it despite feeling at the ready to preach to me about it (bad idea that was!).

She's progressed into chewing on EVERYTHING! I don't know if its because the baby has chew toys or because .... I don't know but EVERYTHING is fair game. reuseable straws for sippies - destroyed. Pacifiers (judge away, yes she has a paci in bed) - destroyed. My spa eye cooling thing - destroyed. ANYTHING silicone - destroyed.

WHAT THE HECK!

I've asked, I've begged, I've threatened. I've made her throw things away to feel the pain of losing something she destroys but nothing is motivating her to stop chewing.

I read online to buy them something specific to chew on as this is a common thing in 3 year olds (don't know how true that is) and when you see them chewing on inappropriate things, hand them the specific chewing thing but good lord! ANOTHER thing to carry around and monitor?

Yes!

Emily is 3 1/2 and has started chewing on clothes and her hair!  It is driving me crazy!  However, we currently think she has HFM, so it hurts to chew.  Maybe she will forget she used to do it.....
