Ughhhh! 16 weeks and stretch marks?!

So today marks 16 weeks for me and even though I've only gained 5 lbs since the start I'm already getting stretch marks on my belly above my belly button.  This is so weird too because it's one part that isn't even growing yet.  Yes, I have a little bit of a bump, but it's not huge and it's grown steadily (in my opinion).  I knew I would be getting them because I got them through puberty when my hips and breast grew, but I didn't expect to see them so early!  It really has me nervous for the next few months when my skin really does stretch out.  Anyone else getting early stretch marks (or had them early)  are they worsening or getting better?

i saw my first few at around 16 weeks, when i had only gained about 4lbs at that point and my belly was just starting to bump out. i have noticed that they have been fine since, they havent gottan any worse. my belly has definitely popped much more since then, but the stretch marks have stayed the same. i have about 4 little ones right near my belly button, they are white and i use cocoa butter. im hoping they stay like this for the remainder of the next few months!

Well I'm glad I'm not alone...they just started appearing and I haven't gained weight for the past 3 weeks or so, but my stomach is popping now and I guess that could be to blame.  I guess I am freaking out a bit because of how early it is and how little has actually grown maybe my skin is just stretching in anticipation?  Who knows!

This was me at 16 weeks, only I was up 3 pounds.  At almost 24 weeks I'm up 8 but they haven't really gotten worse.  They were pretty bad to begin with though.  We'll see if they get worse I guess.

I was so sick in the first trimester that I actually lost twenty pounds. I gained three pounds back recently, but I still thought that I would have an advantage in getting the stretch marks to stay away longer. Nope...not at all. Looked in the mirror this morning and I have all these nasty red stretch marks down both sides of my abdomen.

I only had two stretch marks my entire pregnancy and then BAM!!!  I was hit with them AFTER I gave birth.

With my last DS I didn't get them until after he was born and was 6 weeks old!!  I thought I was one of the lucky ones who didn't get them and then one morning I woke up and there they were.  I was losing my weight so fast I think this is why.

I've always had a few on my legs when I gained some weight after college but not too noticeable...then I looked in the full length mirror at Target while trying on clothes and I almost cried.  They are all over the back of my legs and on the sides of my stomach and back.  I am only up 5 pounds and make a point of working out everyday but I guess I'm just one of the unlucky ones.  Glad I'm gonna be a winter momma because I cannot imagine trying to put on shorts.
