Babymoon suggestions

I am visiting Houston from Ohio in a couple of weeks to visit friends and thought that I would have our babymoon while in Texas.  Can anyone give suggestions for babymoon locations that are within a couple hours drive from Houston?  Thanks for your help.

You can get to austin in 2-2.5 hours.   DH and I went for our anniversary (I was 10 weeks pregnant) and stayed at the Hilton Convention Center down town.  We enjoyed the pool and hotel and ate great food at Shady Grove (lunch) and Moonshine Grill (Dinner, 1 block from hotel) and caught a great comedy show at Esther Follies (2 blocks from hotel)

 

There is also a Hyatt resort in bastrop thats highly recommneded https://lostpines.hyatt.com

You could do the San Luis Resort in Galveston, also has a great pool.

I agree with the pp that Lost Pines is really cool, but it can be expensive. And once you are out there, you are out there. 

 You could get a great deal in Galveston if you are visiting after the holiday weekend since that is when the rates tend to drop down. The beach could be a nice change of pace for you rather than Lost Pines in Hill Country, but it may still be pretty warm either place. There are some fun places to eat and shop around in Galveston.

I've never been to Austin, but it is on my list for sure! San Antonio is also about 3 hours away, but I would opt for Austin or Galveston over it....in case anyone mentions it.  

We may not have any Skyline Chili, but you can get a great steak down here!! Or even some amazing Mexican food or cupcakes you would kill for!! Have fun!
