Success after IF

This is the first night in 22 months

that Dillon did not scream for me when his father was putting him to bed. I am relieved and a little sad at the same time. It is nice to have time to myself, but my baby doesn't need me anymore wah!

I didn't even kiss him good night because I fully expected to be heading in there to calm him down. Crying

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • Aww maybe you can sneak in there later and give him a kiss?  I know how you feel.  The boys are very attached to me and DH can't do much of anything for them so on one hand I really love it when DH can do something for them and give me a break, but then it kind of tugs at my heart a little when they don't need me.

  • I have one of those too-- and if yours really is like mine, don't worry-- he'll be crying for you again in a day or two ;  )

So enjoy this time.  While there is a huge part of me that loves how much Garrison needs "mommy, mommy, mommy" all.the.time.  It does get exhausting from time to time.  G let DH read her book to her tonight so I got a break but I bet I'll be back in favor before the weekend.

  • Well that didn't last long. An hour after he went to bed, he was up crying for me. I guess he missed his good night kiss too lol
