My husband has told me lately within the past 3 weeks he has woken up to me masturbating while asleep is this normal and how can I get this to stop?

yea ive actually had some very vivid sex dreams latley myself and have woke up feeling very very horny...hmmmm sounds like im not the only one

ive been reading online and it seems it could be a sleep disorder causing this. Ive been having ridiculous sex dreams even though I am no where near sex deprived I am just kind of embarrassed because I dont remember doing it but my husband says it is clearly happening. I wear pj shorts and undies to bed and this didnt start happening till I became pregnant like it started as just moaning in my sleep and has progressed to this its very strange to me lol Should I tell me obgyn?

you can bring it up with yr dr but i dont see there being a problem with it. as long as your not hurting yourself and you get enough sleep...lol

I sometimes have spontaneous orgasm innmy sleep without touching myself but also think I have been master sting in my sleep as well- I'll wake up recently with my hand down there. I don't really see it as a problem at ALL though- haha! I wouldn't worry if I were you... You could tell your OB for reassurance that it's not abnormal, but she/ he won't be able to stop it so if it embarrasses you to discuss with her/ him I wouldn't. My advice is ENJOY;-)

DH told me I did this a few weeks ago. Unfortunately he had had a bit too much to drink at the time and told me this infront of our friends while we were watching a rugby game. Needless to say I was not impressed!

I work in Sleep Medicine... and it IS a sleep disorder!  As long as you aren't hurting your "bed partner" as we say, then don't worry about it.  Enjoy it.

Even before I was pregnant I would have vivid sex dreams and wake up to an orgasm, but since I've become pregnant it happens more often.

I don't really know if there is a way you can stop yourself though, haha. May as well enjoy it

I had crazy sex dreams for a couple weeks...then they stopped . Not sure if I was masturbating but I'm sure there was a good possibility.

I'm sure it is just hormones....and I sure wasn't complaining!

Don't be embarrassed -- LOL.  He is your husband - just have a good laugh.  Feel free to ask your OB if you are really concerned - but I don't think it's a big deal.

This seems to be the ONLY time I am horny. But I always have the sex dreams where I am JUST about to orgasm, then something interupts it. They are SO vivid and weird.  The other night I was rubbing against a super tall guy and my head was at his crouch area, but his unit was sticking out of his mouth. & I was SO HORNY & said, I've never been with a guy with a D!ck in his mouth before.  I can't even believe I am admitting this dream, but it sounds so stupid now that it's over. It felt completely normal to say that in the dream. 

 I blame the pregnancy. 

 On the other hand, I had an awesome one with Brad Pitt and his unit was like 2 feet long and HUGE (like unread ) but then Angelina was coming home, so I had to get out of there. Then I was going down the stairs and realized that I still had Angelina's teeth whiteners in??????  WTF??

I actually think it's normal. When I wasn't pregnant, from time to time I'd have sex dreams where I would always wake up before I climaxed. While pregnant... I go all the way. haha

i wanted to update, so the dreams stopped but the results kept happening lol. im giving birth tomorrow and i have to say maybe the sleep orgasms helped throughout this pregnancy plus my husband never complained and in turn started waking me up to just live out the dream so it was a win win situation lol
