Single Parents

Becca

Hey, lurker here, I'm the one that posted about having a cousin who is a SP and trying to get a better understanding of what she goes through so I know how I can hopefully help her.  I just want to say that I've followed your story and think you are so strong and your posts on here are so filled with grace that I myself will probably never have.  I hope your ex's parents do help you out and I know that your little girl is very lucky to have such a strong mama.

Sorry if this was creepy, I've been wanting to say it for a while but never had the guts to come out of the lurker closet.

Obviously I'm not becca but YOU should post here more.  We are all happy to answer questions even if you're asking them for someone else.  There are several family members of SPs that post here.

    And ITA, Becca is amazing!

We're not all THAT scary despite recent drama ::glances down at LJF and lurky post::.

No, but seriously, it's not always the easiest boat to be in and there are generally lots of questions about lawyers, custody, CS, etc.  I'm sure she'll appreciate you asking them on her behalf!

Well shizz, I'm a lurker here too but Achase, now that you chimed in I have to add my two cents: I think YOU are awesome! I went to your blog a couple weeks ago and practically spent an entire day reading your back story. I've worked with some single moms in prison settings (which is obviously different than what goes on at SP) but it's been a true education for me to hear the stories on here. Your writing in particular made me think a lot, so, thanks Smile :creeps back behind curtain:

    Thank you very much!

I know that it's a long backstory (and some of it reads like a Dr. Phil episode).  It was hard to put my whole story out there but I knew that it could help some women.  Abusive men are so incredibly manipulating that I knew there had to be others out there who had experienced similar things and were in similar situations.

It is sadly all too common. So many of the women I worked with were in prison primarily because of something their boyfriend/husband did or "made" them do.

That is incredibly sad.  Because their BF/husband "loved" them so much, I am sure.
