DH lost his wedding ring today. The poor guy feels horrible and is really upset about it. I told him it's not a big deal it's just a ring and we can replace it. I asked him if he wanted to go to Zales tonight (that is where we both got or rings from) and he said yes. I feel bad though because with Disney and Belle's birthday party coming up in the next month we can't afford the exact same ring right now. I know he wants to replace right away and wants it before we go on vacation. I was happy to find the same ring on Kay's site but we can't afford almost $600 right now for a ring. Poor guy.
Re: Poor DH
Ugh... poor guy.
I do agree w/ ashnmike though about the cheapie. I actually got a fake set for myself which I took on my honeymoon. I was paranoid about losing my real set or having it fall off in the ocean or something crazy. Now, every time I travel, I lock the real set up and wear my fake. No one ever notices and I always get compliments. It's kind of funny (Kev now thinks the real set was a waste and he should have just bought a fake. meanie. lol). I also wear it every time I send my real set in to be re-dipped... which is about once every 6-ish months for 1-2 weeks. It only cost me $25 for a set... looks totally real. I have gotten a lot of use out of it so far... Pretty good investment, I think.
Seriously though... you can find some really nice men's rings (tungsten or paladium I think) for under $100. Even if you end up getting a replacement ring for him down the road... it's not a bad idea to keep a fake around to where when he is OOT or doing things that might wreck the real one.

Sorry to hear that he lost his ring. I think sometimes my husband wishes he would lose his.
Any hope that he will find his? And I totally agree, get an inexpensive ring for now and worry about a replacement after Disney.
Sorry
My DH got titanium with a gold accent ('stripe') along the middle.. very durable and I think it was around $100.
Does he have any idea where it could be? Like if someone could metal detect for it in the yard or something?

I agree with this!
My husband lost his ring last year... he was so bummed and I told him we could get a new one, but he said it just wasn't the same. So I got him a cheep silver one from Target just so he had something until we had extra $ to replace it. A few months ago I decided to clean my ring w/ some ring cleaner I found in the linen closet... I went to fish my ring out and felt something else in there... it was DH's ring! He doesn't even remember putting it in there to clean it. Needless to say, it was very clean!
Does he know it's gone? Or did he just misplace it and maybe it might turn up? You might want to wait on replacing it and really look around... he might just find it somewhere!
Aw, I totally feel bad for him. We've had to borrow a metal detector three times to find DH's ring in the past three years. Twice he lost it off his hand in the back yard, and the other time it got planted with our mums! He finally took it in to get it resized!!! Guess the third loss was the charm, huh?
If it is possible to look for it, I would wait to replace it, and maybe get a cheapo like the other girls said.
