Suprise BFP UPDATE...first US today

Well, we saw a sac. That is it. It feels a little too much like the first US from my last pregnancy that ended in a m/c. I'm not even 6 weeks yet, and I tend to be a late ovulater. Tell me that it is okay that we only saw a sac. I know it is, but I need some reassurances.

We only saw a sac at this point with D.  It is going to be okay honey- although I completely understand why you are feeling uneasy.

Before 6 weeks, there usually isn't much to see!     but I wish the ultrasound had been more reassuring for you...    Nevertheless, I think it is totally normal, though.    when is your next one?

If you are a late ovulator, I would think just seeing a sac is OK at this point, since Dr's don't care when you ovulate, they just date your pg from your last period. When I got pg with Maya, I was charting, and I knew for a fact I ovulated on day 21, and I even submitted my chart for the file, but they insisted on dating my pg from my period, which always had my due date a week a head, so everything and every ultrasound they did was based on that. As I got farther along, it wasn't as big of a deal, but in those early weeks, where even a couple days make all the difference, it can be very frustrating and worrisome if what you see doesn't match up with their guestimation. Hang in there! I know it's hard!

Sending lots of positive thoughts! You are early and I think just seeing a sac is perfectly normal and what they would likely expect to see!

Between OHSS and a SCH, I had a lot of ultrasounds early on - every 3 days or so. We didn't see anything in the sac until 6w3d, so I think what you saw is totally normal! When is the next u/s?

My next US is a week from today. I was going to wait two weeks because I have a work appointment next Wed (my clinic only does pgncy US's on Wed), but I can't wait that long. I'm going to cancel my work appointment.

My first u/s with DS was at 5wks 5days and we only saw a sac, too.  I think you are good!

Sound like you are just where yo need to be! Yay for the sac! Keeping everything crossed that your next u/s shows even more!
