Doxycycline is evil

Does the nausea ever go away!?  I've been taking those darn antibiotics for 10 days now, thankfully only 2 more left.  But oh my gosh, this nausea will not go away.

    I only have to take 3 days of this for my saline sono. and I hate it. I'm not nauseous, but it gives me horrible stomach issues. Ugh. I can't imagine having to take it for 10 days! Hope you feel better!
    Me: 31, Dx: Hypothalamic Amenorrhea, Elevated AMH of 18 DH: 34 & borderline morphology issues IUI#1/cycle with Menopur & Novarel = Mild OHSS & BFN IUI#2/cycle with Menopur & Novarel = BFN IVF#1 converted to FET due to moderate OHSS 21 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 11 fertilized 7 frosties, 6 genetically normal December 5th FET with one perfect blast = BFN FET #2 = early February

    OMG, it was was horrible for me, too. I ended up having to get a prescription for anti-nausea meds. That helped tremendously! Also, eating a little bit prior to taking helps some, too. Hope you feel better soon!
    Lots of natural cycles, 2 IUIs, and 3 IVFs later, our miracle girl/boy twins were born 08.04.12 at 35w6d. We are in love!

    Ugghhh...I had to take Doxy when I had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and it made me SO sick.

    You're almost done cutie! I hope you're feeling better soon.

    Me: 32 - Stage II Endo / DH: 36 - Low count and morphology (1%)
    IUIs 1-3 BFN, lap Dec. 2010, IUIs 4-6 BFN
    IVF w/ICSI #1 - ER 2/8: 24R 19M 9F ET 2/13 2-5 day blasts (no frosties) = BFP - b/g twins!

    Take it with food & it should help with the nausea... Also, be sure to wear sunscreen if out in the sun! Hang in there!

    You are sooo right.  While I didn't have any nausea, I did break out in major hives and itched ALL over!  I don't even want to touch the stuff with a 10 foot pole!  I am sorry it has made you feel so bad.  :-(

    TTC since 3/07. IVF#1 = canceled. IVF#2 = 0% fertilization. IVF#3 = BFN. IVF#4 = c/p.  
    Moving forward with Adoption 2017!

    I hate hate hate doxycycline!!! What really helps though is to take 2 probiotic pills (acidophelis) an after after every pill. It helps put the good bacteria back into your stomach which takes away the nausea. Also, lots of yogurt really helps me. You can get the probiotics at any health food store. Trust me, it really makes a difference. It also helps keep away pesky yeast infections that antibiotics can cause.

    Dx: DH - Azoo, Me - Mild PCOS
    DH - sperm found! Seems to produce only for a few days every 70 days!
    Over 1 million in cryo in 15 vials over 6 samples
    IVF #1 - 1 beautiful expanded blast transferred, 4 snowbabies - beta #1 11/30/11 = BFFN
    FET #1, transfered 2 embies 2/16/12 = BFFN; 1 snowbaby left in cryo
    IVF #2 + CGH = 4 genetically normal embies on ice. FET September 26th
    SAIF/PAIF always welcome

    Definitely only take it with food.  I took Dox one morning before I had time to eat breakfast and within 20 minutes I was so nauseous.  If I take it with food, it has been better.  GL.
