NBR: Need Buffalo-area salon recs

Hi ladies!   I know there are a few of you on here from the Buffalo area... hopefully you can help me out!

I'm doing a TTD/boudoir pics photo shoot next Wednesday and I am looking for a place to get my hair done (nothing fancy, just some curls probably).  I live in Syracuse, but will be meeting my photographer in Buffalo.  Her studio is in Tonawanda (no idea where that is). 

I will most likely get my makeup done at Sephora in the mall (I was told there is one in the Walden Gallery mall)... so I would like to find a place that is relatively close to either the mall or her studio.  I am not looking to spend a ton of $$$.

Thoughts?

I've never had my hair done at any of these places, but they are all right inside the Walden Galleria Mall, so it would probably be easiest for you since you'll be there anyway.

Not sure of prices of any of them, but I know Euphoria is a bit more pricey... I've been there for spa services.

I get my hair cut twice a year - haha - and the last few times I've had it done at Euphoria. They do makeup too.

I will definitely let everyone know how they go and post a few non-skanky ones, lol.  I am super excited to do the TTD (for me)... so I can get a chance to wear my wedding dress again.  The B-pics will be an anniversary gift for my hubby.  I wanted to get both of the done before I get all big and pregnant (fingers crossed this actually happens soon), so I can still fit in my dress and rock some sexy shots!

My sister is a stylist at Salon Concepts (it's abou 10 minutes from Tonawanda depending on where in Tonawanda you are). I just talked to her and Wednesdays are her day off, but her partner Karen said she would definitely be able to do you hair for you. She does makeup too, so if you aren't too tied to the idea of getting your makeup done at the mall, you would be able to do everything in one place. Karen does a great job --did my hair and makeup for a wedding last year and it came out awesome.

if you are interested, the number of the salon is 688-2312. Ask for Karen and tell her that Amy referred you. She is there all day today. . It is a nice, mid priced salon. They do a good job but arent quite as pricey as some of the fancier ones that the other ladies mentioned.

The main reason I am set on Sephora is because I know they do airbrush makeup.  I have very very uneven skin tone and it seems to cover the best, especially for close-up photos.  Plus, they will do it for free (if they consider it a "trial"), or at most a $50 gift card, which I can use to buy goodies.

I might consider having the makeup done at the same place as the hair, but not sure... either way, thanks for the recommendations, everyone!  You ladies are awesome!!

No problem. . Yep, it is a 716 area code. I would just tell Karen your concerns about the makeup and see what she says. I'm sure she wont be offended if you want to go somewhere else where they can do th airbrush for you.

I've gone to DeBerardinis in the mall quite a few times, they actually did my hair & makeup for my wedding

I go to the salon professional academy in tonawanda .  it is a redken beauty school. it's is always inexpnesive but time consuming.  they do makeup it is all bare minerals.  do the sephora's inside of jc penneys do makeup? if so you could just go to the blvd mall that way you are closer to tonawanda.  There is also an Ulta on Niagara Falls Blvd so that would also be a one stop shop
