Question about fleece

I've been using fitteds with wool covers at night for a few weeks and it has been very successful.  I also bought a few fleece covers that I planned to use but have not tried yet.  How absorbent (or water repelling, whatever fleece & wool do) is fleece?   Can I use it overnight with only a fitted under? And, if I can go solo on the fleece I have another question: I saw jammies at Kohls that were fleece pants, could I use a fitted and the fleece pants and not have her wake up in a swimming pool?  I guess I could try all this out but it is so much easier to see what everyone else has done.  Thanks!

fleece is more prone to compression leaks than wool.  if you had a super absorbant fitted under it then you might not have any issues

I tried one over night and ended up with compression leaks so now I'm scared to try it even with a more absorbent fitted!
