We don't. And after the earthquake today, I think it is about time we put together both. So if you have an emergency kit, what is in it? And if you have an emergency plan, what does it entail?

God bless my farther in law who was a retired marine and stocked all our cars with a survival kit, everything from toilet paper to dried foods is in that thing. It's been a while, so I forget exactly what is in there, I just remember thinking " wow he thought of everything" when I got it.
We don't have a plan though.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Well sort of. I live in South Fla which means Hurricanes, thanfully though in the 4yrs I have lived here we have only had tropical storms hit..but everyone who has lived here a long time tells me stories about Willima and how bad it was and how nobody was prepared..
Anyway, we have have water, batteries, flash lights, some canned food/frozen, a radio that doesn't need batteries, and hurricane shutters (haha), a generator thats at DH's cousins house.., fans,
Things on my list to get tomorrow even if we just get tropical storm effects..is dog food/treats, make sure that the grill has propane in case we have no power/gas. powdered milk (for Jake) and formula..and then just food..in general..
We did but somehow it was "used". Dh and I talked when the new parents mag came out about re-creating it. I think this is going to be my proect next week.
I read the Parents article last week and mentioned it to DH and then with hurricane Irene coming we discussed it again this morning and then with the Earthquake, I really think someone is trying to tell me something. I went and bought all the water for one tonight after work and we have most of the other stuff, I just need to go get a new rubbermaid container and put it all together now.

Re: Poll: Do you have an emergency plan and/or kit?
I have a backlog of magazines right now, but I am off to find this issue!

I love what the earthquake is doing to people today.
We have a supply of water and a first-aid kit DH uses for his hobby. We have no plan, and would just wing it.
