Underwear

I just noticed my undies are leaving deep indents in my skin on my tummy and are hurting my tendon in my groin - basically they're too tight.  I've already moved up from a small size to medium and then to large... the larges are hurting.

Can anyone recommend a good underwear to wear during pregnancy?  My vic's are cutting it...

Re: Underwear

  • I know motherhood has some maternity panties but I am not sure if they are granny panties or over your belly button ones, that would be kinda weird. Not to be weird or anything but what kind do you wear?? I wear the hanes bikini briefs and they are quite comfy.

  • I love hanky pankys! They have a one size fits all size, buuuut the are super strechy and they were all that would fit it the end of my last pregnancy. Victoria's Secret also has a knock off verison that is a bit cheaper too.

  • I just buy really low-rise bikinis in my normal size. I think I actually bought a bunch from American Eagle last time I was pg, and they fit really comfortably all the way till the end.
  • I bought Hanes low rise bikinis.  They definitely look like granny panties, and I try to avoid wearing them in front of dh.  They may not be cute, but they're super comfy.

  • I too will agree with PP in regards to the VS lacie! Its amazing- I got a free one and now they are the only ones that fit so I went and bought a couple more pairs. I think they are 3 for $30 BUT they are so comfy. My VS Pink Medium extra low rise thongs werent long enough, if that makes any sense, but the lacie thong is great! HTH!

  • Some of you still wear thongs? When I was pregnant with DD my OB told me to steer clear of thongs and from then on I haven't worn a single thong since and with this pregnancy he said "you staying away from those thongs" lol I told him yeah since almost 4 years ago!! Thongs are no bueno especially during pregnancy, they can give you nasty infections and can cause e.coli because the string going from your booty can come in contact with your vagina, I tossed those nasty things away so quick and haven't looked back!

  • Since week 12 or so I can't STAND underware. Not that they dont fit, but they seem REALLY uncomfortable. I only wear them when I'm at work. The minute I get home, panties. I wear the VS Cheeky or something. Its the only one I can tolerate. Thongs suuuuuck right now.

  • I like the ones with the lace top band and no elastic on the legs. They have them at VS & Target that I have seen.

  • The Motherhood Maternity thongs are SO comfortable (if you like wearing thongs)!
  • I couldnt NOt wear thongs. I dont wear the string ones, just the wider ones. I also wash them separate and in hot water. I only wear them with jeans, and switch to regular ones as soon as home.

This! If I'm out of the house, I'm wearing a thong. If I'm home and just hanging around or going to bed I wear bikinis. I'm still in my normal undies, and hopefully won't need new ones too soon.

  • VS "lacie" underwear is a dream come true. they are "one size", and truly they are my most comfy undies right now. (they come in both thong and non-thong varieties for those that are worried). i'm still wearing the thong, OB didn't say anything to me, but i don't think she saw my undies either. i only have the thongs, but thinking about picking up a few of the "regulars" so i can wear them both now, and after the baby.

  • I'm still in thongs, regular panties just crawl up my butt anyway.
