Success after IF

Teething question

I can't believe I never had to deal with this with my now-toddler but teething was easy for her...anyway, I can see the bottom two teeth underneath my 6 month-old's gums which explains her extreme fussiness (or maybe it just partly explains it).  What do you give for pain when teething?  Infant tylenol?  I thought I heard cautions against orajel but I never really paid attention since we didn't have this with my older daughter.

Re: Teething question

  • One dose of tylenol always does the trick with DD. Orajel often has dyes in it, and it washes away in the saliva pretty quickly.

  • At 6 months, pedi gave us the ok for infant ibuprofen, and we found that worked better for her teething pain.

  • we use tylenol when DD teethes.  we also give her a frozen washcloth or cold teether to chew on.

  • A little tylenol normally helps.  We have teething toys in the fridge but they still don't really understand what to do with them.  I put them in their mouth and they just look at me, like what are you doing?  I might get flamed for this, but you can also rub a TINY bit of whiskey on their gums.
