Looking for a new obgyn in the Anderson area that delivers at Mercy. Is there any one that is great? (or that I should stay away from?). I should mention that I would prefer a all women crew.
Don't go to Everhard if she's still practicing. She's rough and performed 2 traumatic colposcopies on me that my current obgyn said were not necessary.
I know Sevens Hills Womens Health mostly delivers at Mercy hospitals (I believe). I used to go to that practice and saw Dr. Fermann (who I REALLY liked, but she didn't deliver babies anymore). Unlike you, I wanted to deliver at either B. North, Good Sam, or Christ, so I switched practices. I don't know anything about their other MD's though. They have an Anderson location in the Mercy HealthPlex.
I now go to Group Health Associates and see Dr. Long, who I like even more than my last MD. Group health mostly delivers at B. North and Good Sam. They have an office location in Anderson also.
I see the docs at Seven Hills Woman's Health, which are mostly men, but I have heard great things about their midwives. I know quite a few girls on here use them and a few of my family members do also. I can't say enough great things about the way I was treated and the care I received thru our loss and then with this pregnancy. I would recommend them to everyone! One of the docs, dr. Fesenmeier, is the head of L&D at Mercy Andrson so if you ever had any questions or concerns he would be your go-to guy.
6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM
7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle!
9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.

I think she is still practicing but she is just a Gyno now. I too had a colposcopy that my current OB/GYN said was unnecessary.
I go to Amy Long at GHA on 5 Mile. I am not sure where she delivers, but I really like her.

I'm sorry to hear this. Colps are so awful. Mine were painful (she took biopsies both times) and totally embarrassing. At one point she even pulled her nurse over and had her look at me saying "OH this is a perfect example of blah blah blah." I don't remember what it was because I was so humiliated and felt so exposed. I was only 20 at my first one, and I just couldn't believe her gaul. When I went in for my 2nd, I was freaking out and shaking, and my mother was with me for support. She asked if I could have something to relax me a little and Everhard said "She doesn't need anything. YOU are the one thats working her up." That was my last appointment with her. Then I went to Mt. Auburn Women's Center, and fell in love with Dr. Fitzgerald, but he delivers at Christ (which I thought was fantastic with #1.) Haha.
Is there a reason in particular that you want to deliver at a Mercy hospital?
I realize that your question was directed at me; but, FWIW, I (we) had two fantastic experiences at Mercy Anderson. In addition, it was so nice to be so close to home.

Just wondering. I wasn't trying to diss it in any way at all. I've been to Mercy Anderson a few times and have perfectly good experiences.

Oh man, I totally meant to say "I realize that your question WASN'T directed at me." I'm a mess, today!
Dr. Fleming with Seven Hills delivered Logan and I had a wonderful experience with the both the group and with Mercy Anderson. Due to a change in insurance I now see Amy Long with Group Health and I adore her, so if I ever have another baby I would use her. Like the pp's stated, she delivers at Good Sam.
ETA: This is Mrs.George posting under Moesten's name. Oops!

I am with Group Health and usually go to the Clifton office, but saw Dr. Long on Wednesday. I really really like her a lot! I would recommend her to anyone. The GHA doctors have been really great overall!

She only delivers at Good Sam.

Ditto this.
I delivered at Mercy Anderson in May and had an awesome experience.
