baby eye appointments

I recently went and had my vision checked for my yearly exam. The optometrist was very outspoken about baby eye health and recommended this website:

I had an exam in July and the Dr. was also very vocal about getting baby's eyes checked.  She said that Pedi visits aren't enough.  She also said that they give free exams to kids under 1!  (This was at a Pearle Vision)

It's not a bad idea. My baby was born with a cataract that the pedi did not catch. My DH is the only reason it was diagnosed and able to be removed early. She couldn't see out of that eye at all when she was born. If he had not caught it, who knows how long it would have gone unnoticed, and the longer left untreated, the less chance she would have had for good vision down the road.
