I usually post on the Dec 2011 board but I though I would ask this question over here since a lot of you were/are in the same situtation 2u2.
Did you have more BH with you second? How bad were they? Did you feel like you needed to take it easier and if so how with a one year old. Heres the reason I ask.
I've been having a lot of uncomfortable tightness in my belly lately; I would say a few times every day for the last week. Then last night I was home by myself and my DS and I was pretty busy; made dinner, cleaned up after dinner, played outside with DS, cleaned the car out and got him ready for bed. I didn't sit down until about 9. From I would say 7:30 to 10 I had several BH (or the tightness) it would start and then last at least 30 seconds to a minute then give me a little break and start back up again. I have a call into the doctor to make sure everything is fine. I went into pre-term labor with my son at 34 weeks, they were able to stop it but I'm worried it will happen again.
Thanks for any info.
Re: BH contractions question
With my 2nd pregnancy, my BH started early (18 weeks) and were painful throughout the pregnancy. I even had a few episodes where they were coming every 10 minutes for 4+ hours straight. I never went into preterm labor.
I never got 1 BH with my DD. This pregnancy I've had them just about every day for 2 months or so. My dr. says it's normal because everything is weakened from LO#1. I've been really worried because of the frequency of them (sometimes they are timeable for up to 2 hrs) but then they stop and I feel fine. I have an OB appt tomorrow and will ask again to see if they are normal.
I have a 12.5 month old and I'm 31 weeks pregnant...

Well that makes me feel better. I didn't have any with my DS either. So when this started I was a little worried. The nurse told me to call if I was concerned but it was normal. She said that they shouldn't be timeable but the ones last night probably could have been. I haven't had any today so I guess I'll just pay attention. She said to try and take it easier but I don't think that is possible with a 1 year old
My DH works full time and just started back full time at school so I don't have much help at home sometimes.
Thanks for the imput. It does make me feel better!
I think I'm going to actually pay attention to them today and maybe call again tomorrow. My question is how many is too many. This is going to be TMI so fair warning. When I went into PTL with my DS the few days before I had horrible stomach problems, if you understand what I'm saying. Well all weekend and then again on Monday I had the same and then Monday night is when I had the bad BH. So I guess I'm just being overly paranoid. I guess I'll see how today goes.
Thanks for the info though.
