I was wondering if anyone has tried the Podee hands free bottles? The good? Bad? TIA!

Re: Podee bottles?

  • No, I just held their bottles with my hands.

    LOL  Me too.

We bought them a couple of months ago, but they just played with the straw part... maybe drank an oz.

  • Thanks! I was thinking that they probably wouldn't work too well!

  • I will add, a friend of ours has twins too, and when they were prob around a yr, they used them without an issue.  Depends on the child.

  • Tried them around 6-7 months (now 10 months) - huge fail. The boys couldn't keep suction in order to drink, and took in a lot of air, which lead to pukes. We tried them because we were traveling 8 hours every weekend to visit my terminally ill MIL and needed a feeding option in the car. This was a big waste of money for us.

  • We started using them at about six months, and they seriously changed our lives, LOL. My H never really got the hang of tandem feedings, and was struggling. (He's a SAHD.) The Podees made it possible for him to handle the bottle feedings, and the girls love them. We can feed them on the go in their stroller (this weekend they ate a bottle on a pier out in the Gulf in Ft. Myers).

It's faster than them holding their own bottles. They can suck down an 8-oz. bottle in three minutes with those things! (Oh, and they were refluxers/spitters, and the Podees didn't make it any worse.)

  • I have them, washed them, and never used them. They are still sitting in my cupboard.  What a waste!

  • We have them and used them on a 10 hour road trip when the boys were 2 mo old. They worked great for us! It was suggested that we use the nipples from the hospital (yes we did hoard a ton of those :) ). Anyways, I only use them for travel. Bottle time is the only time DS1 will cuddle with me. I have to take advantage of that :)

  • bought them but never used them. They are hard to suck on and there's a million parts to wash afterwards!
