Love! It's been one of my favorites for a while. I was partial to Abigail Sloane, but hubby didn't love it. You'll get Entourage and Ferris Bueller references, but I wouldn't let that deter you. It's a very cool name.

I know there is also the Grey's Anatomy reference but none of those bother me. I also would be lost for a middle name... Our middle name choices so far have been Mae and Louise. I know Mae is out and don't really like Sloane Louise for some reason....
Well I do tend to like unisex names, which I know aren't so popular on this board.. And to be honest, I've only seen Ferris Bueller once (I was born the year it came out) and don't even know the character Sloane, so I doubt my babies generation will make that connection...
Obviously, I'm a fan . I will say that in testing the name among people I know IRL, it's a love it or hate it name - my brother and DH's grandma, for example, hate it, whereas other random family members totally love it. I, too, prefer it with an E.
I should add that I'm a big Ferris Bueller fan, and DH is a big Entourage fan. We both love the name.
I should add that, should we go with Sloane, we will use Elise as a MN. I think it warrants a pretty feminine middle name.
I also think it's not the least bit feminine. And doesn't it mean "warrior"? I guess if unisex names are your thing, then that's fine, but to me it just screams boy.

I love Sloane. It was almost DD's name. I think it sounds very pretty on a girl.
I just couldn't get over the fact that Sloan is the company manufactures the piping seen on public toilets. I didn't want to set her up for teasing so I reluctantly dropped it and we went with DH's pick for her.

Love it.
If it weren't our cat's name and didn't sound awful with our last name, it would have been a contender for DD.
Sloane is what we are naming our daughter
Middle names are tough with this one, which almost deterred me. We've now decided to go with Sloane Adele as my MIL's fn is Adele.
